Would not buy a foot operated pump again, gauge doesn't work
I had a vertical hand pump before (stands on the floor, T-handle on top, that you anchor with your feet and pump with your hands, similar configuration to this one: Velowurks Element Bicycle Tire Floor Pump, Black but purchased 20 years ago at a local bike shop). It finally died (wore out) and I bought this because it was so compact. I find that it pumps very little air with each stroke so it takes a lot of strokes. Also, since you are operating it with your foot, it tends to twist and move around on the floor as you pump it. Specifically, when you are pumping quickly, which you have to do since you get so little air with each stroke, as you lift up your foot the the pedal snaps back up and the whole pump jumps around on the floor. My old pump would reliably indicate the air pressure in the tire at the end of each stroke. The gauge on this one shows pressure during the stroke but always seems to drop to zero a the end of the stroke though there is clearly pressure in the tire. Basically, the gauge tells you nothing about the pressure in the tire.

Not for presta valves/ road bike tires, or high PSI
Has adapter that looks like it should fit Presta valve (a road bike tire), but there is no way to actually attach it to the tire. The valve adapter must screw in to the pump valve and the presta valve. Unfortunately it can only do one or the other. Also, the threading is backwards. So once you release your presta valve and attempt to attach the adapter, it tightens the presta valve again. This pump is probably just fine for regular valves. But stay away of you have road bike tires. Also, while the body looks solid, the valve itself seems cheap and bound to fail sooner than later. I doubt it could withstand the high pressure of a road bike tire, even if the adapter fit properly.

Broken but fixable when it arrived
The metal stud inside the gauge was broken upon arrival. Had to take it apart and reinsert it. It doesn't mechanically fit in there anymore, just friction fit. It won't pump anything up without that stud, which acts like a plug, so that's kind of an issue... It does work though as long as I don't turn it over so it falls out. I think I just got a bum unit though... so giving them the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars.

Used right out of the box
Used right out of the box. Had three bike to pump up.Picked the foot style as it seems to be better than squatting up and down style. So far no issues. It has a nice set of attachments for the different valves. The gauge seemed to be accurate enough. The locking mechanism worked well at least better than the metal hooked ones we have had in the past.I lubed the shaft some and glued the rubber leg tips on as they kept falling off.

Nice pump
Used it few times so far - it is pretty convenient and main thing is that it works at all. I am saying that because before this one I tried and returned two other pumps because somehow I couldn't connect them to both of my bikes' wheels - connectors were too tight so I couldn't lock them securely. So the fact that it works and serves the purpose is good on its own. Actually this one attaches without efforts and pretty securely. I didn't compare gauge results using other gauges - so can't comment on its accuracy but it visually looks as of sufficient quality. It is pretty sturdy. My previous pump was narrower and that required me to center my "pumping movement" very precisely or otherwise it would fall to the side, This one is much more stable in this regardThe only annoying issue so far is that rubber legs are very loose.

Awesome foot pump!
The foot pump just arrived. My Jeep jogging stroller has had flat wheels all summer and I could not wait to try the pump. The box was a little beat up since it's a heavy pump and the box got tossed during shipping. Two of rubber non-slip things on the bottom were off. Put them back on but they just kept falling off. Oh well, I'll glue them on because this foot pump is fantastic. At first, the tire did not want to fill. Well, my fault, I did not have the valve connected properly. Once I did, 2 maybe 3 pumps and the tire was hard as a rock! I'm so happy. I highly recommend.

Seems sturdily built
Got a defective pump. I have to say the product box was beat up and there was a second shipping label on it. I got the feeling that this was a previous return, although I don't know for sure. In any case, the connector was not functioning as it should, so I'm sending it back. It seems sturdily built and seemed like it would have been steady when using the foot pump so I am disappointed that it doesn't work.

doesn't work
looked like a well built pump, but the connector to the valve stem was defective, seamed to fit OK & lock down but no air to tire, tried on my wheelbarrow tire, all 4 tires on garden cart, no air to tire, gave up after 5 different tires & didn't try on all the family bikes. returning [thanks amazon for being a good vendor] I have been airing small tires for decades so know how to do it but the pump I got was defective.
