Windproof Rain Umbrellas, Compact Auto Open Close Golf Umbrella, 8 Ribs - Blue

I've had this umbrella for a little more than two years and thought it was great for the price. Never had a problem with it, it's just not wide enough for two people. Now I'm back to buy it again because I lost my last one at a restaurant.

Great umbrella! I ordered the blue and the color is awesome. This umbrella is strong and sturdy. The button allows for a one push open and close. The material dries super fast and the rain just slides off of the umbrella. It's almost completely dry by the time you arrive indoors.

I was offered a sample to review and provide and honest and unbiased opinion, so why not take it? Even if it was horrible, it would make a a good back up in an emergency. So, here it is, I never would think about spending too much on an umbrella. I have reviewed several umbrellas with push button open and close features. This one works the best. It is quite strong and forceful. I took it out today, in heavy rain. I went out to my car, pushed the button and the most amazing thing happened! It closed, of course, but that wasn't the amazing part. It happened while it was snapping shut. The droplets practically jumped off the umbrella! I actually stood in the rain for a couple of seconds looking at it, a practically bone dry umbrella! I didn't have to shake it out. THAT is what sold me. I put it in my car without worrying about damaging the leather seats, and then when I came back home, snapped it shut again, and the same. There were so few TINY droplets, that I could have thrown it on the couch. I have never had an umbrella that did this. Granted, I don't spend a lot on umbrellas, but the fabric used for this one is great. I have not had an big winds to test how strong it is in wind, but frankly, I don't care. It seems well made and I'm in love with how well it repels water. I should note that I was going to make a review on "waterproof" umbrellas, and it was going to be snarky, but I gladly ate those words. This is a great umbrella for one person, and maybe two in a pinch. I will make sure not to lose this or leave it some place.

Finally. Now here's an umbrella for those of us who HATE trying to open and close them. Especially getting in and out of a vehicle. I always end up getting wet just trying to get the umbrella closed so I can get in the car. Here's my new bff umbrella!What you get is a nice lightweight umbrella measuring about 14" x 2" when closed. It is very packable. I like to stick mine in my daypacks' water bottle holder that I rarely use in the rainy season. The material is super light. At first glance I really didn't think it would repel water, but it did so with no issues. I had it out in a drizzling rain for about 30 minutes (which is a lot more than I actually need) and it appeared wet, but still no leaking. Open, the umbrella measures about 40", plenty for one or maybe two if you don't mind getting close. The handle is about 24". You get all of that umbrella nicely packed in a zippered sleeve/case.But here's where this one takes off over the others. Remove the case and unsnap the button. Now, simply push the button. Whoosh! Out comes the umbrella, fully extended. You could easily do this with one hand. Then, when you're done, just push the button again. The umbrella folds up. Now I can just jump in the car to finish up. All you need to do is press on the top of the umbrella to push it all back together. I easily do this from the driver's seat of my car. When it clicks, you're done. I've had this out in winds only about 5 MPH. It held up flawlessly. The material and frame didn't have me worrying one bit.I received this umbrella in exchange for my review.
