The Apostolic Ministry

The traditional church as we know it is undergoing change. Those that have studied and are currently attending a church that embraces the five- fold ministry are in a place to see the glory of the new covenant prove to be greater than anything experienced under the old covenant. Rick Joyner's book The Apostolic Ministry has much to say about the church age and where it is heading. Ministers, church leaders, and radical laymen- this book is definitely for you!!Joyner says that the apostolic ministry will first have to be restored before the other five fold ministries can take their place and grow in full stature. This Gospel and age will not come in words alone but in power with the demonstration of signs, healings, and wonders occurring. Our expectations for church life, he believes, must be raised as this is going to be a last day book of Acts experience that will exceed what was experienced in the first century.You will gleam truths from a section devoted to explaining characteristics of what a true apostle is and also be warned of those that emerge and have emerged on the scene that seek to self appoint themselves and allow the organization to center around them. There is a cost to any ministry and "dying to self" will be required in walking in resurrection power. Joyner states "It is the main reason why the world has witnessed so little apostolic Christianity."Learn that if the church is doing it's job of lifting up Jesus, she will not be the center of attention, He will. Much misguided apostolic today focuses on organization first than relationships devoted to such which needs to be reversed.The last highlight I will mention (though there is so much more contained) is that emerging will be youth that will walk in powerful end time anointing that will successfully do warfare, perform miracles, and walk in unique gifting that will usher in the coming of the Lord- all without fanfare or the desire to be recognized. They will be pure with motives and trustworthy with the anointing God will entrust.I encourage you to get a copy of this book and learn deeper truths. I give it two thumbs up.

I recommend this book to all Christians. To those people who are hungry and thirst to know more. Rick's books have really inspired me and changed my mentality on so many things. I never want to put his books down. So rich and fundamental.This book definitely opened my eyes towards more of things to come. To what God is doing. To the investment in kids and the next generation. And I really liked how he described the testimonies of the apostles who were martyred. How they were martyred like some full of joy and no pain. And the fact that people who sent them to their deaths ended up accepting Christ. Blew my mind this book

A must read book of Joyner!The heretical New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has been gaining steam, and the movers and shakers want to take over the world through their seven mountain, or seven spheres, of influence. When we watch people like Rick Joyner in action, we may be tempted to believe he is just a false teacher on the fringes of hypercharismatic lunacy. You would be wrong if you think that.The goal of the book is to “unite, mobilize, equip, and activate Christians to be the salt and light they are called to be by engaging in the great issues of our time from a sound biblical worldview.

Rick Joyner's books are always filled with gold nuggets. This one is no different. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the area of government or foundation building. His implications reach beyond the local church model and expand one's thinking about what is, and will be, established. I love that he honors many of the traditional views while embracing the new. This book is a reminder of the power of "both."

Sometimes living out life in the way you believe the Lord wants you to can be very misunderstood with some opposing you, but this book has encouraged me that this is part of the call God has on us, that just like Jesus who was misunderstood, and persecuted and even killed for fulfilling His call on earth, we also will be faced with that; not that we try to make that happen; it just does when we determine and desire to carry out all that we believe the Lord is leading and directing us in. When people look at apostolic ministry, they think it si about planting churches and being the overseer of them. However, some people want to rush into this office without being called. They don't know what they are getting themselves into. If they really knew, Apostles are the ones that suffer the greatest for Christ. They are really tried and tested. If you are called as a true Apostle of Jesus Christ, get this book. It will help you as the SET MAN!!!

Mind blowing and sound in the truth! Will require a second reading for sure. I like that he addresses the grace required to walk in the 5 fold ministry gifts and ties in church history and common pitfalls of current apostolic ministries. It is a great primer.

I rated this book very high because it is one of the best self help books that is written and available on the market for this century. This book has helped not only me, but it has been a tremendous help to the members of my church. I would recommend this book to everyone that wants to increase and improve their spiritual health.
