Review "Della's Diary humanizes the sometimes crazy-seeming extremes of the 'prepper' lifestyle. Della herself is an engaging, interesting character, and you find yourself rooting for her and even understanding her descent into prepper-dom." --Bright Little Light Press"This book has a lot of layers. Introspection. Political awareness. Romance. Humor. Just when you think you've got it pinned down, it surprises you with something new." --Reader"The ending was awesome." --Reader Read more About the Author Renee Darcy has been a professional writer for more than a decade, but is new to romance and women's fiction publication. A very good book and makes a great read
This is an interesting read. It's written as a dairy and from a woman's perspective. There were times when I wanted to bang my head (or Della's) but she comes out of everything stronger and smarter. A very good book and makes a great read.

Not My Style
Sorry, but this book wasn't my favorite. As a matter of fact, I almost quit reading it twice but I agreed to read it and read it I did. My biggest problem getting through it was I didn't like Della. She was air-headed, narrow-minded, shallow and some of the decisions she made I didn't find believable for a grown woman with a child. Her brain got on one track and couldn't get off almost regardless of anything else going on in her life. Her poor family! I thought it should have been shorter -- those "Dear Diary, this is what I did today" entries were tedious. And if I heard the term "bug-out" one more time I thought I'd throw my Kindle.I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.

Not a bad read...just not a great one.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.I really struggled with this book. It started off with promise but Della became unlikable to me. I did consider quitting it a few times like the other reviewer but I'm glad I stuck it out.
