The Unbelievable Gwenpool 2: Head of M.O.D.O.K.

I've read the whole series and it's great all around. More than just 4th wall breaking humor. Uses the 4th wall as a part of it's narrative drive and not just as a way to tell jokes. Kept me invested all the way to the end. only complaint is sometimes the art can get really basic. One of the artists specifically had a style so flat that it took me out of the story.

I'm continuing to enjoy Gwenpool. This volume picks up where volume 1 left off, naturally, and follows Gwen and the MODOK crew through an interesting, if somewhat shakily-connected adventure. I had trouble following some of the plot, but I did appreciate that Gwen is also starting to cope with the fact that her jaunt through the Marvel-verse isn't all fun 'n' games, and is in fact her current *reality*, with all the emotional and physical connotations that entails.Overall, if you enjoyed volume 1, and are invested in what comes next, pick this up. If you aren't that committed to it, or if you didn't like volume 1, I recommend passing on this. 8/10.

A really underrated series. A lot better than most of the other titles Marvel is putting out right now.

As a dc girl I never thought about reading marvel comics till I found Gwen. Is imposible not to grow fond with her and her personality.This cómic is fun head to toe

Such a good price. It's getting harder and harder to find individual issues. This makes it so much easier to breeze through the comic and get all caught up! Looking forward to the release of vol. 3

Gwenpool is awesome and you must read this book. I really like how they incorporate other characters in the Marvel universe and how she gets into funny situations.

The story just feels flatfooted, Gwen has the power of knowledge and able to use it to her advantage. Only issue is, that only happens off panel and you're given "Who?" villains constantly. Sure I understand it's her own thing, but she has no powers and just gets incredibly lucky. I get the vague impression that it's just all filler and zero character building. Hell, they give her four new buddies I never seen or read about in Vol 1, and bam she just happens to run MODOK's HQ now.Maybe if she got some powers, maybe became like an odd version of Lady Deadpool but as Gwenpool, I'm not sure. I also hate this weird forced romanticism she has for Miles, whom I'm given the immediate impression is a lackluster Spider-man. He's in the same universe with Peter Parker, why not him? Also why hasn't anyone connected the dots with Gwen and her?

This is one of the best comics I have read in ages, Gwenpool is awesome!

Fast becoming one of my favourite comics. I re-started reading Deadpool but found as the series went on, the darker it got. This is amazing and the father of two daughter, we’re all going out as Gwenpool this Halloween

Gwenpool wird mir mit Band 2 deutlich sympatischer und gewinnt mehr Tiefe. Sie ist weiterhin nicht ganz richtig im Kopf, merkt aber das nicht alles so einfach ist, wie sie es sich vorgestellt hat. Sie weiß das sie nicht sterben kann, immerhin ist der Comic in dem sie lebt nach ihr benannt, aber alles andere kriegt sie nicht so richtig auf die Reihe.Wieder begegnet sie bekannten Charakteren und vertieft damit auch ihre eigene Geschichte und schärft ihren Ruf als .. nun ja .. Antiheldin mit höchst fragwürdigen Moralvorstellungen. Die Anspielungen an Harley Quinn sind vorhanden und der Look erinnert immer wieder an Deadpool. Immerhin kann Gwenpool inzwischen eine Waffe bedienen und ist damit nicht allein auf Charme und Glück angewiesen.

Hors-norme. Entre manga et comic, entre imaginaire et réel, des développements inattendus, pour finir un charme réel. Dans cette veine, que ce soit en BD, manga ou comic, un sommet rarement atteint depuis Rêves d'Enfant, Gunnm ou Convoi. Il s'agit de la première série récente qui me séduit depuis 25 ans !
