Chaos (Cy Reed Adventures) Paperback – October 5, 2011

This book grabs the reader from page one and does not let go. So well written without any foul language or steamy sex. I'm so glad my son recommended it and I am anxious to find another. Thank you.

I am really going to try and give a decent review without reviling to much of the novel because that's what Amazon seems to be requesting now!I really enjoyed this book. The story line starts off pretty slow but it quickly builds as you progress throughout the chapters. The characters are really well rounded and the writer does a good job keeping your attention all the way through. The writer also did an excellent job informing the reader about the complex and history of the New York subway system. I didn't know anything about it until I read this book, but I love stuff like that. There are a few chapters, that in my view, really slowed the novel a bit. I really love books that are fast pace and on point. This novel wasn't to bad but there were just a few scenes that just didn't need to be there if you asked me! Personally if I'd written this book I would have added in a few "adult" scenes, because it was clear that the two main characters have feelings for each other, but none of it was ever "expressed" in the book, and believe me there times when they could have!Overall this book is a good read and I highly recommend it. Hopefully this review didn't give away to much and helped you in making a better decision.Thank you.Enjoy.

Story was ok but many of the pages came loose and fell out of book...hope shipper can some how take care of this problem...maybe publisher...getting back to chaos...if you like Indiana Jones movies/character you will love this guy and his adventures....think loose pages took away some enjoyment.

Decent book, common plot, bad guys seem to have no problem finding the hero, (spoiler) kidnaps hero's former girlfriend, but ends up saving the day. Nobody ever seems to need rest.

Although very predictable, I did enjoy reading the first of this series about archeologist turned treasure hunter. The main character, Cy Reed, is hired Cy rich guy to find nazi god somewhere in the labyrinth of tunnels under New York. He's is pulled not a race to an old doomsday weapon. The action is pretty fast paced most of the time. The writer describes in great detail each scene and gives us Cy Reeds first person account of what's happening, including his emotions driving him. Yes it's predictable, but I find that most books and movies are, it's still an enjoyable book. I already downloaded the next book in the series.

I recently discovered local author David Meyer through a local online newspaper - and I'm glad I did. This a very good first adventure novel. The author introduces us to Cy Reed, and takes us on a fast-paced thrill ride in the bowels of the NYC subway system. The writing reminds me of Clive Cussler, without being over the top - making it more believable. Recommended reading.

Cy Reed is an archeologist turned treasure hunter. Most of the story takes place in the New York subway system. There's plenty of action and a romance as well. Cy isn't a super-hero. He's just a guy that doesn't give up.I liked the story well enough to buy the second book in the series. When the third book comes out, I'll buy that one as well. It's always nice to find an author you like. Give David Meyer a chance.

Agree with other reviewers....stacks up very well if you like Dirk Pitt. Its like many other good action novels, but Meyer adds in setting / environmental details that really add depth. Editing is very good too, unlike many self-publishers. Mr. Meyer: Love historical detail / mechanical detail, never hesitate to throw it in there....its like candy for me, so keep it coming. Your characters have decent depth for an action novel, I hope that continues, especially for those close to Cy. The only criticism I have is a slight one, and common / necessary to the genre in many ways probably...but these folks sure have amazing recuperative powers :). I look forward to the next book!

Will definitely read the next of the series"Ice Storm". This book has it all. Action,sentimental stuff, villains, intensity. Pageturner. Highly recommended

A book I found difficult to put down, took a while to get into it though.

A great read from start to finish, couldn't put it down. Meyer is an appealing and entertaining author, all his books have been great.
