Read this book if you are a leader and interested in making your organization a great place to work
I purchased the book a few days ago and have already read it the first time. I'm an Executive Coach and consultant and do work in many of the areas discussed in the book. I appreciate that the book is research based and proves in many ways that the way organizations think about and lead their teams is a major differentiator in the marketplace and on the bottom line. I like that the Great Place to Work team is taking the definition of a great place to work to an even higher level by including ALL. The book is a sensible, research based, easy to read book that is very timely in today's VUCA environment.

Good insight in to creating better place to work
Lots of repetition emphasises the key concepts of creating a better place to work. Some great insights but did not need to be this long - would have benefited from more techniques and less examples

informative.
For twenty years, Great Place to Work has published its list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. According to Bush, that although latest research shows that what was a great workplace a decade or two ago may not be that great now. Even at the best of the best workplaces, leaders must do better. Bush and his team demonstrate how the emerging economy is about developing potential. Our work climate is defined by speed, rapidly changing technologies, and the expectation of values. As a result, leaders must need to create an outstanding corporate culture despite which demographic the employee belongs. Execs not only must be business savvy, but have intrinsic values of fairness, have the ability to empower, and deep ethics. Overall, as a leader, I would hope that most companies by now would understand that your employees are the foundation of your company. It is no secret that the world of work, the definition of a great leader, and what was defined as the norm has changed. That what was relevant 10 years ago may not be relevant today... and staying status quo could break your company. There are a few eye openers in here, which makes for a great read.
