Perfect Finishing touch.
The Cap is a perfect compliment to a great mount. Super easy install of the whole system - took all of 10 minutes! I installed about 2 inches below a drop ceiling to insure great air flow and mounted antenna side down to insure strong signal. The Cap works great for a secure mount. Looks great, works great and I have 3 more to go!

Secure and functional.
This unit fulfills its purpose perfectly. Combined with the AirBase - Wall/Ceiling Mount unit, my Airport Time Capsule is secure and in a perfect position to extend my wireless network throughout the house as necessary. I would definitely purchase this again, if it were to be come necessary. The sturdy construction makes that eventuality very unlikely. Giros Design does a great job with their products.

Hide the wires on a wall& ceiling application retro fit!
If you are looking to ceiling mount and the airport extreme you don't have many options. Even still I think this is a quality product, when of course using it with the optional security cap. My only real gripe with the product was the inability to hide the wires in their entirety when ceiling mounting. Being that the wall behind where I was mouthing was a closet where the modem and other components were going to be,I wanted to just cut the rock & have the wires recessed in that whole. So I decided to do what many would think is probably crazy and take a hacksaw to this brand-new mount and make some quick retrofits. First I cut out a section on the back of the mount that separates the top opening from the middle opening, that then enabled me to place the router in the mount with the inputs facing the back. However, there was still another problem, there was no way to connect the cables with the extreme in the mount, there just was not enough room. So again I took out the hacksaw and cut out the front section of the bottom rung which basically doesn't do anything for ceiling mounting anyway.(used a small piece of white electrical tap to camp the cuts a little, before installing the cap) The Cap is what holds it into place, and by leaving part of the rung there is still place for the cap to be snug on the sides.

Nice cap with great function.
Secures airport extreme in place. Very easy to install & keeps "curious hands" from moving. A great addition to matching mount. Would definitely by again!

The design looks like an excellent product and would fit my needs perfectly. Unfortunately the base for the unit was sold out at both Amazon and the manufacturer with notice that they may not offer this product anymore. Hard to rate half a product.

Blah, wire management is wonky
I was going to deploy this on a job, but realized that it's overkill and not needed, plus the power and data wire doesn't fit it really well when you try and put them all together the way you want to. It's still in the junk box.

“We do not recommend ceiling installation”
Sweet. A $14 piece of plastic that promises to mount an Apple product upside down, just to have the warning sticker say doing so might cause death. What the what??

This security cap functions exactly as advertised. Although I purchased it for home use where someone walking away with my AirPort Extreme was not an issue, I wanted the peace of mind knowing that I wouldn't accidentally knock the AirPort out of the mounting bracket. If you purchase this with the Giros wall mount, make sure you place the AirPort in the mount (once it's secured to the wall) and fasten the security cap BEFORE you plug everything in. It can't be attached properly once the power cord and Ethernet cords are plugged in. I guess I didn't follow the directions!
