It works, plain and simple.
Lots of "better mousetraps" out there. I have to admit, this device works very well. I'm two for two. The advice about using dog food pellets is good, it's easy to load and it works. My additional advice would be to give the inside a wipe with a damp paper towel, using a paint stir stick, in between kills. Seems that the 2 kills have resulted in a bit of mouse urine, or whatever, on the bottom of the trap. a quick 5 second wipe took care of it, and I think that it helps to keep them from becoming suspicious about the trap. I had a few days of inactivity between kills, after I gave it a wipe, I got a fresh kill the next day. I'll be getting another one of these for the garage.

Raticator is highly recommended
I decided to give this product a chance, yes there are better known brands, but the price of this product was my decision maker. Ready to setup in minutes. Put in a new set of batteries, place it where I believed rats would travel....nothing the first day....same as second and third, and I was seeing sighs of rats in the garage. My garage was a mess, so I spent an afternoon clearing it out, much to my surprise I found their alternative food source....My daughter had purchased some dog food and left it on the garage floor. The rats had chewed through the bag, and basically had all you can eat 24/7. Cleaned up the mess in the garage, removed any food source, and secured all cabinets. I thought removing their free meals would be all that was required, and I was correct. After cleaning up the garage the Raticator did its job. I've caught 3 rats in 3 nights, and I will be purchasing additional units.

How to use this best, IMO
I have two of these, one I bought at ACE and I got the second from Amazon when ACE didn't have it in stock.I give it five stars because it does exactly what it says it does.I have some opinions about how to use it best. I'm an Addiction Psychiatrist so I like to think I know something about rat behavior, because so much of Addiction and psychiatry research is done with rats! Mind you, not everyone's situation is exactly the same.I see this as a mitigation device because we have chickens and live near woods, I suspect there will be an endless supply of rats coming our way.I'm always thinking about how to use it without causing the "gene pool" to select for rats that won't "take the bait". Therefore I don't bait it every day and when I do bait it I don't always arm it. That helps me know the difference between are there rats ignoring it or are the rats gone (for now). For example, after the last kill, I haven't baited it in several days. I do plan to bait it tonight but I will not arm it. After I see a rat "take the bait" I will wait at least one day before I bait and arm it.This is somewhat loosely based on the idea of "intermittent reinforcement," the behavior you want to reinforce is the rats "taking the bait" and it works better when the reinforcement is random, not consistent (daily).Anyways, more updates later!....

A mouse in it every day
I placed this Radicator S-Plus trap where I really need it the most and that is in the area where I keep the grain for my horses and am happy to say that there is a dead mouse in it every morning. This is the second one that I purchased, the first one was over 6 years ago and it finally quit last month and I feel that is a great track record and highly recommend it.

Easy setup, smooth operation and quick to work.
This is super easy to setup and works fantastically. Many people in our neighborhood, which borders the Mt. Hood National Forest, feed the local wildlife. Unfortunately (for human habitats) rats and mice are part of the local wildlife. They found a way into our home. After using baits to eradicate our home we decided to go with a more humane and far less odorous method. I set this up and on the very first night a mouse met its demise. The event was not witnessed nor heard. However the next morning I checked the trap and it was flashing the red light on top and it had indeed humanely stopped one pest.

After several tries, I killed the first rat,
Does not work, light flashing indicating a kill, I look in and no mouse, the bait was gone. Has brand new lithium batteries. I paid lots of money for an expense rodent feeder.October 14, 2017’. I finally got it working, I spark tested it, baited it with a TBS of RatX. This morning it had a big dead rat. It took a while for the rodents to use it, I don’t know why the first few times didn’t work, light was flashing but no rodent inside. Took about 5 tries, different bait. RatX worked. One way or the other shock or RatX was going to do the job.

Amazing, Effective Rat/Mouse Killer
Amazing. Killing a rat a day. Using 1/4 walnut as bait or a cracker piece. More humane than poison and poison gets in the environment. Had rats eating our outdoor cushions but this eliminated them fast. Got the ones that came inside our screen porch too. Rat slides right out of the raticator into the trash or brush area. batteries last a long time.

Don't Bother with Lesser Traps
WOW! I was skeptic, but within 10 minutes of bait/set I had my first mouse and 12 minutes later another one!! Works as promised, easy to bait ( I used chocolate chips) and easy to dispose of the dead mice...the part I really hate with conventional traps...would buy over and over agin.
