Decker takes New York City & proves he can hunt anywhere with a little adaptation...
Decker is to meet his friend Dover in Harrison City, Iowa. They have been friends since they were young with Dover becoming a lawman & Decker a bounty hunter. After a few years of disappointments Dover deciding justice can be better served also becoming a bounty hunter. When Decker finds that the three Tyrone brothers have shot Dover in the back killing him the clock begins ticking down to their demise. First to go is Virgil Tyrone & while he is readying himself to draw Decker pulls his sawed-off & kills him saying, "S***--If I fought fair, I'd have been dead a long time ago." Next is Matt & then Mike which were quickly taken care of & sent on their way to wherever killers spend eternity. The sheriff tells Decker that there is no paper on any of the boys & the only reason they killed Dover was someone told them to.As Decker goes through the personal effects of Dover he finds paper on Oakley Ready listing a $5,000 reward & on the back is written a list of cities with two left, Harrison City & New York City. Bingo! He now has his fourth killer & a destination.Even though Decker is a westerner he is not out of his element in New York City & proves that he can adapt to anything. Great read as the fans of Decker enjoy more of a mystery than a western.

Good four star!
I have read several of Decker Bounty Hunter books. They are good western books written by a good author. I enjoyed reading them and recommend them to you.

Out of his element?
Revenge for a friend, who was shot three times in the back, and a large bounty land Decker in NYC. Things are a bit different here, but the violence is still the same. Decker doesn't waste any time getting shot. With police Lieutenant Tally more or less on his side and Billy to drive him around, how could he go wrong?

Great series, rotten ending
Enjoyed the Bounty series. Decker is definitely one of a kind. Didn’t enjoy the ending. Hopefully there will be more in the future to make up for such a terrible ending.

From and by Barbara
Well I didn't much like the ending to this book either, but it was so good, it will stay in my mind for a long time! The whole series will. The author should write at least one more book to top it off. I highly recommend this series!
