A great learning tool for children!
A great read for kids and a good tool for parents looking to start teaching their kids about money at a young age. I have two daughters and they both make an allowance and also work part time for one of my companies. I wanted to have them start learning about money at an early age, so they value how to earn a living, make a buck, and want to work hard. The book gives a brief history of money from bartering, to coin usage, to cash, etc. It also discusses budgeting and how to spend money. Book also has a couple of quizzes that the kids can take at the end of a chapter.

Great for parents looking to educate their kids
Great book that provides various ways for kids to think about money. The first thing my eleven year old step son approached me with from the book was how according to this he should get paid his age in dollars a week.

Don't let the childish cover fool you.
Great book and should be required reading for young teenagers. This is not a small childrens book like the cover appears. It has some excellent information and is presented in a mature, well thought out manner. Unfortunately the cover will turn off a teenager from reading it.

Good place to start teaching money issues.
Been trying to get the kid interested in money since he likes to spend it. So when he started asking questions about investing, etc., I found this book. He doesnโt understand at lot now, but it is a great start to teach with and address his questions.

We enjoy it
Don't fool yourself, this is not an easy book and I would not recommend it for a child under the age of about 6 or for a child who has no interest in learning about money as they would become bored easily. This is the kind of book that you "work through" and keep for future reference and always coming back to when teaching kids about money!

Meh - there are better ones
It's an OK book. There's some decent info, but many of the examples or explanations provided aren't clear, don't make sense, or very easily could have been much simpler to understand. I bought this for my 6 year old and 10 year old, and many of the examples were too hard to understand for the 6yo but too basic for the 10yo. I also bought the Ultimate Kids Money Book by Neale Godfrey and although somewhat out of date (20+ years old), it's a far better kids money book.

Fantastic! Worth every penny!๐
Very practical, engaging and worthwhile investment. My 10 year old loves it and especially enjoys the money smart quizzes. So glad to have purchased it for him and highly recommend it!

Amazon should let you know this is American
It was okay. I had bought the book for 2 6yr olds. A bit too advanced for both of them and written from an American perspective. I'd say this would be suitable for teens and up
