These posters show pictures of an object, with the English title in small print at the top right of each square. The French word is under the picture in large print. These charts are helpful for the beginner and for those wanting to read French. French pronunciation, however, is not always obvious from the spelling of a word and these charts do not help with pronunciation. For that, they need to be used within a teaching environment or in conjunction with a translation app or computer program.My wife and I are of retirement age and got these posters for our own use. They are not limited to a classroom for the very young, but are helpful for anyone wanting to learn the language.The posters are on heavy stock that feels as if it has a protective plastic-type cover layer. The backs of the posters are plain white; they are not two-sided learning tools.

These are so great! I ordered these to put up in our homeschool classroom and they did not disappoint! They are so cute and very well-made. The translations are more formal which is perfect for teaching my children beginner French.
