The Shoulder Relief Support System is NOT a pillow. It is a sleeping device designed for you to use your own pillow on top of the head rest. It is uniquely designed for SIDE SLEEPERS to sleep on either side and will relieve pressure from your shoulder. The wedge component elevates you just enough to fit your shoulder down into the pocket above the wedge alleviating the pressure from your body weight off of your shoulder. There are different densities of foam to fit your need. The medium shoulder relief support system is for people who need more elevation and have minor to major shoulder problems. The firm shoulder relief support system is made for heavier weight (300 pounds or more) and gives you the most elevation. Each shoulder relief support system comes with a custom case that is removable and machine washable. The shoulder relief support system must be slept on for 6 to 10 nights to become broken in and start fitting to your body shape. Order your shoulder relief support system now and get relief for a better night sleep! PATENT PENDING

Pretty Good Solution for Side-Sleepers
If you have a lot of shoulder pain, this "pillow" system will definitely elevate your body to take the weight off your shoulders for side-sleeping. I tried it for about two months, enough to get used to the difference. I have a muscular build and sometimes can't get comfortable with a regular pillow and my shoulders feeling crushed into the bed with side-sleeping. This corrects that, but forces you to lay on your side all the time. I also noticed I was waking up to turn over and had to adjust myself back unto the pad as hitting the "slot" requires conscious movement. The slot also steers your bottom arm to an awkward angle, especially on the edge side of the bed. I had occasional elbow pain or numbness in the morning from my arm hanging straight out, unsupported, over the side of the bed. Bending it up is more difficult with your head raised higher. After a few weeks, I got used to the elevation difference. I hoped the elevation would help with my snoring, but no dice. Probably the most troublesome part of this system for me was finding the right thickness pillow to match the ramp of the support. I've had a lot of neck problems though and this may not be as much of a concern for others. I'm not using the system regularly now, but will be glad to have it for the next bout of shoulder pain.

Life changing improvement in my rotator cuffs (shoulder tendons).
Worked miracles for my rotator cuffs. Not the most comfortable sleep, but my rotator cuffs had gotten so bad that its a welcome trade. I can only sleep if on my side, and I need to switch sides several times per night in order to sleep. Switching sides is more cumbersome when sleeping on this, so I actually have to wake up to make the move, which interrupts sleep more than simply rolling over used to. This support also elevates the entire top of the body, and is a bit of a stiff foam, so it's not as comfortable as my bed is without it. It's designed for a pillow to go on top of it, but the space for the pillow is a but small for mine, which is a memory foam pillow that won't scrunch up enough to fit comfortably in the space this support allots. With all my criticisms, I am still so happy that I've found this product. It has been life changing for me. My rotator cuffs are so much better now that I'm able to lift weights again, which had been a routine for me for decades until the last several years. If your rotator cuffs are bad, in part from sleeping on your side or from sleeping with your arm under your pillow, you owe it to yourself to try this product.

So close!
I've used this pillow support for 4 nights now. I found the medium support works fine for me. It's firm, but comfortable. It has been awkward figuring out what to do with my arm if I'm on my side. As you can see with the woman in the picture, it's hard positioning your forearm in a comfortable way. My tendency is to put my hand between the pillow and the support, but that doesn't feel comfortable on my shoulder. I purchased this because I'm most comfortable sleeping on my side but have shoulder pain. Unfortunately, I'm most comfortable on my back using this because my shoulders will press back into the open areas on the side of the support and they do feel much better. I have to fight my natural inclination to roll to my side, though. It does defeat the purpose of what I bought this for. Occasionally, I suffer from reflux and this does help with that, too. I'm not as happy with it as I hoped, but still willing to try.

I really want to like this product
I really want to like this product. I don't want to be unfair, because this DOES take pressure off of my shoulders, which relieves the arm pain I normally deal with at night. However, I just woke up with terrible tension and pain in my mid to upper back. I've never had any sort of back issues. I have not finished the "breaking in" period, but I'm not sure if this back pain is due to that, or simply the design in how the wedge puts upward pressure on the ribs pushing your back out of alignment. Your arm is able to "hang", but this also allows for downward pressure into the rib cage. I'm worried that I'll be trading one problem for another. I've become afraid to sleep on this again because of it. I'd also like to know if this "breaking in" period, is a way of saying, "it hurts you until you break it in". LOL If that's the case, I don't know if I can handle 6 - 10 days of back pain.

However it should be stated that I have an arthritic back with spinal stenosis and others might tolerate this better than me
I think its a reasonable concept and does take some pressure off of shoulders for rotator cuff tears. However I could not use it for more than an hour or two and would develop back pain from the angle it put my back in . However it should be stated that I have an arthritic back with spinal stenosis and others might tolerate this better than me. I did return it and got my money back through Amazon.

Surgery has removed a lot of the issue but I still have shoulder pain and issues with sleeping causing pressure on bad shoulder
I have had shoulder issue for last 3 years , I have done the PT route , excersises , pain management and even sugery. Surgery has removed a lot of the issue but I still have shoulder pain and issues with sleeping causing pressure on bad shoulder which Agravates and intensifies pain to the point where I don't sleep or sleep in short cycles. I have used this pillow wedge system for several days and have had the best solid sleep with NO pain meds. I have had nights of good sleep but with heavy pain medication but still woke up with sore shoulder. I can say this wedge system has removed the pressure I shoulder and I wake with no pain in shoulder and a good nights sleep. For me this works great and I wish I had figured this out a few years ago.

Painful
I purchased this for my husband who has chronic shoulder pain due to previous surgeries and a new injury. I was fully aware of the warning that it could take quite some time to soften the pillow, and I warned my husband about this. However, the discomfort and pain caused by the pillow was so intense that he couldn't use it more than two nights. I simply can't understand how they can continue to market this pillow knowing that people who are purchasing this for pain relief will need to endure so much additional pain in order to *perhaps* get to a point where it is functional for pain relief. They need to figure out a way to pre-soften this. We returned the pillow.
