Not for pets
Don't make the same mistake as us. We were looking for a good guide for raising pet rabbits. This book is deffinately more orientated towards those looking to keep rabbits for food or for mating, absolutely not for the family pet

Excellent
This is an excellent guide for those new to rabbits or those who have had them quite some time. Covers everything you'd want or need to know about both pets, show animals and meat production. Includes detailed instructions on building cages or even a barn. The author is well known and certainly knows his topics. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who either is thinking of or has rabbits.

Great info, focused on breeding and raising large groups of rabbits!
I really liked the detailed care and breeding a instructions. However this book is definitely designed for a large scale rabbit breeder rather than a family with a few pet rabbits.

Excellent all around rabbit book for those who want to breed or raise rabbits
Bob Bennett is an excellent business man and provides a frank, clear, usable, and inspirational book on rabbits as livestock. This is not a pet rabbit book, though it covers rabbits thoroughly enough including their breeds, feeding, care, and housing in a detail that would also be useful to owners of pet rabbits. I have read a lot of farming and livestock books. They are normally not as good as Bennett's book. He is to the point, yet covers each topic in adequate detail. I found it a very easy and enjoyable read, yet I go back to it for reference. After this book, I was able get the appropriate supplies and was able to successfully obtain quality breeding stock that are doing very well.

Inhumane awful
Animal torture book, suggestions for forced mating, selling to research labs, and never letting the animal see or feel the ground or real sunshine, just a tiny all wire box. I ordered this online because there aren’t any rabbit care books at the store. That’s the downside of ordering online, I thought I was buying a book for how to take care of rabbits, not how to be a rabbit farmer. If I was a rabbit farmer I would still be unhappy with this book that doesn’t think rabbits are living breathing brings worthy of some kind of natural life experience while alive
