A Gnome's Christmas

Each year I buy a few books to add to our Christmas collection. Well, my children 3 and 5 adored "A Gnome's Christmas", and were very eager to read it multiple times with me. The magic in this book is what I love to bring to my children. When you can see the sparkle in their eyes as you read to them you know the book captured their little imaginations. I am thankful to Poortvliet for penning this title and thrilled that Amazon made it available to everyone. My family truly enjoyed this magical read! In my opinion, a wonderfully old-fashioned tale to read to children.

All you have to do is look for the name Rien Poortvliet and Gnome in the title to have a wonderful visual and textual treat for the mind. This book is no exception. Many, many years ago our family embraced my wife's Swedish heritage through gnome stories and celebrations during the holidays, and we have never been sorry. Our children remember their gnome experiences every bit as fondly as they do anything else related to the winter solstice celebrations. This book gives you a good start at celebrating the little people yourself, with absolutely exquisite drawings, wonderful stories, songs, and even a recipe.Thumbs up for all of you gnome lovers and future gnome lovers out there!

awesome illustrations and imaginative text, this book, like all the Poortvliet/ Huygen medias, is pretty magnificent as far a gnome lore goes

This is a beautifully illustrated, magical book! There is sheet music, sweet stories and a detailed description of how gnomes celebrate Christmas and what their traditions are. I tried to read a story out loud to my family, during our "Christmas Program" and it wasn't the best book for that. It's more of a coffee table book to pick up and look at with someone or by yourself. As a children's book illustrator and a gnome lover, I found this book to be a delight! Also, the pages are nice and thick with vibrant colors. This would be a great, affordable gift.

The cover shows it all - such an absolutely adorable book. I want to buy more copies so I can give them away.Fabulous illustrations and adorable content. They even included music for gnome christmas carols. Loved it!!

Our family has been reading these books for many years. I was thrilled to find a new one. Everyone loves the stories, especially when you are from the Scandinavian countries

The product was slightly worn but so worth the price. Can’t wait to read with my Grandson.

Really pleased with this book. I love gnomes and this book is so beautifully illustrated as well as having sweet text. There are also three songs with sheet music.
