Save space keeps things neat and prevents cable sharp bends
I do sound systems that include DJ and karaoke events which require HDMI. As I like to keep my laptop close to my mixer and many HDMI cables of good quality are not all that flexible. So I added these right angle HDMI adapters to keep things tucked in and remove the stress on the cables. I've used them on a number of events and never had a problem, recommend it
