Inspired by schools, teachers, and business office dry erase marker power users, this refillable set is a green, eco-friendlier solution to help save waste. Each 15-piece pack comes as shown with: โ 2 Red, Black, and Blue bullet tip ink-filled markers โ 2 Red, 2 Blue, and 3 Black ink refill cartridges โ Plus 1 mini whiteboard eraser. The sealed internal ink cartridge allows these pens to arrive fresh with vibrant, high-quality, low-odor ink that is Xylene and 2-Butanone free. Each pen may be refilled four times (or more) as the tips do wear down with extended use. While ReThinc pens must be primed before being ready to use, the sealed ink tank gives you maximum ink availability and save on wasted ink. Starting the flow of ink of each pen is pretty easy, though, and takes about 30 seconds. To prime the pen, simply depress the tip of the marker entirely on a solid surface to break the seal of the internal cartridge. Then shake and tap the pen on the solid surface so the ink begins to flow, soaking into the tip. After checking the ink tank to make sure it is empty, replacing an ink cartridge with a refill is as easy as unscrewing the pen body, removing the old ink cartridge, and popping in a new tank. After a quick prime to break the replacement ink cartridge seal, the marker is ready to go again. Quick tip: Have you ever accidentally used a PERMANENT marker on a dry erase board? Never fear! Use a non-permanent whiteboard marker and write over the accidental marking, wetting the stain. The properties in the dry erase marker ink will wet the dried ink so you can whisk it away.

These are excellent and it seems to use less plastic than throwing out one-use expo markers. The lines are usually clean and clear. Sometimes it takes some shaking or pushing to get the ink flowing after they have been sitting. I also don't like that the tips get crushed when you first open the ink containers by pushing in the tip.

Lines are dark all the time, tip design prevents crushing
I really like these markers. I teach high school physics, and although most of the info is presented by projector, I really need a good marker for the times I write on the board since I have a large room. Most markers I have used in the past will fade slowly over time. It was always a judgement call as to when to change markers. These Rethinc markers stay dark and sharp until the ink runs out (a long, long time). So I have great confidence when I pick it up that its gonna work. The tip design is also excellent. It will recess if you apply pressure so the tip is not blunted. I have large white boards at the student's tables. They actually use markers more than me. I have them use standard markers because they can abuse them so badly and the tip is ruined before the ink is gone. But I believe I am going to switch them to the Rethinc markers because the tip design is so good. I believe I will save money in the long run.The refills are very easy to put in. Five seconds to remove the old, five seconds to put in the new, and no mess at all.A few things though. First, I wish there was an option for all black markers. The red and blue are good markers, but black is best for my needs. Secondly, a pack of 8 refills costs as much as a pack of six pens with 8 refills. What's up with that? Next, a chisel tip option would be nice (like the other refillable markers I use)Finally, if Rethinc really wants to blast the market open, they should develop a very broad tip option, say 10 mm. I think they could keep the same body. So many people want the ability to draw thicker text for visibility in large rooms. Up until recently the only option was wet-erase markers (which I use), but they are expensive and the strength of the color fades with use.Overall, if you are using standard markers, you will not go back to them after trying these.

Donโt buy, they do not dry & erase, they stick!
Markers dried and would not come off. They ruined my film production slate. Very disappointed!

A refillable dry erase marker, read the instructions!!
Not bad, though it takes a bit to get them started the first time. I have not had to refill one yet. As a secondary option, these are awesome because they are a bit more cost effective, but they have not knocked my favorite off the top.

Almost there
High quality, work well and of course they're refillable so that saves some plastic from being thrown away, but why not make them out of metal like other refillable marker brands. When going for environmentally friendly it only makes sense and that would get a 5 star from me

This lasts for ever
I bought this for my kids. It is almost a month and I have ink in 2. I haven't touched the refils yet. Super happy with how long they last and how economical it is with refils.

Don't work well on wall dry-erase boards
I purchased three starter packs for instructors to try out and all three of them had the same complaints. When writing on a vertical surface the ink runs out VERY quickly so they have recharge the markers often. When writing on a horizontal surface they work great so we use them for the tutor centers but they did not work well for our wall dry erase boards. We have other refillable markers that don't have this problem but they are more costly, for now we'll stick to the more costly version since they don't have to be recharged while writing.
