**Q: How can you tell which model bladder will work with the ex model filter?**
A: They are all MSR filter compatible (with threads), regardless of size. If your filter can't attach to Nalgene threads, then these wont work.

**Q: Can the msr guardian filter be hooked to this or is the opening not large enough?**
A: Hi Reyvens Roost Farms,  yes the base (outlet side) of the filter can be screwed directly onto the DromLite reservoir (where the large cap screws onto the reservoir).  - The MSR Customer Service Team
