Avoid! Display and sound stopped working after a month, seller did not respond to complaint
Edit (11/8): I originally gave this 4 starts (read my review below). After about a month the display and sound suddenly stopped working. I tried everything I could (recharging it, restarting it, pressing different buttons) but the display and audio no longer work. Only the light system works. I reached out to the seller with my complaint but have received no response so far. Amazon was kind enough to immediately reimburse me.Original review:I bought this to replace my Altec Lansing IMT 620 (loved the Altec Lansing and its design but it was not bluetooth). Was therefore looking for a BT speaker with decent sound and which could act as a clock/radio. I read the reviews and this fit the bill. The night light and color settings made this an intriguing purchase and because I wasn't really looking for a high fidelity system, this product and the economical price seemed interesting. My opinion after using it for ~4 weeks:Pros:- Pretty decent sound. Both voice (Podcasts) and music of different kinds are well produced. No Bass/Trebel or equalizer settings. Should satisfy most needs.- Well designed, compact, good materials.- Night Light options work well- The color reproduction was way better than I had imagined. I thought the color would be localized as each LED lights up, but it's actually quite nicely diffused throughout. Color range is great. Very pleasing to the eye.- good value for the ~$36 USD I paidCons:- System does not remember the volume setting when you turn off and back on. It turns ON at a default of around 15/16 which is pretty loud! The announcer voice when you turn on Bluetooth is irritating. Made worse by the fact that volume is high when you turn ON. These are my two main suggestions to the product team for future improvement- make it remember Volume setting and the mode it was last in when the system is turned OFF. If this was better implemented I would have given this a 5.- The settings where colors change according to music is poor. Most of the time nothing lights up..only a sudden peak in music seems to elicit a splash of light. Not a biggie, but if this were better implemented, this could be a great sounds box for mood lighting during small parties.Overall quite pleased with the product and see myself using it a lot both indoors and outdoors (like patio in the evening).

SURPRISINGLY GOOD
iI was skeptical of this product as the reviews seemed almost cloned to some extent and there were not very many that covered the audio quality, but with Amazon's return policies I thought it was worth any risk.Product arrived on time and well packaged. I am giving it five stars based upon initial impressions despite an instruction manual that looks like it was written by someone with limited knowledge of the English language. The manual is also a bit content light, but most people should be able to discover how all of the features work with just a few minutes of trial and error. Now on to the important stuff......The speaker(s) sound surprisingly good for a device at this price point, especially given the other features also included. No, it isn't Bose quality. But as I listen to it now the vocals within my Celtic music are clear. Treble, midrange, and base are all decent. There is just a hint of distortion at the highest volume level, and that highest level is nicely limited by the device to keep you from over driving the speaker(s). Is it room filling? I would consider it as a personal device that could fill a small room with sound. Certainly adequate for an evening outdoors on the deck or porch. Your mileage may vary based upon background noise but I am pleased with the volume delivered. The lighting features are interesting with your choice of three levels of warm tinted white light, rotating colors, pulsating to the music colors (Doe snot work all that well), or a fixed color of your choice which you select by scrolling through the color palette one tint at a time. The white outputs are nicely spaced allowing for soft lighting or a brighter task lighting that I would guess tops out at 30-40 lumens. Not room filling but enough for close task work or game play. The white light is largely glare free and nicely distributed around the cube. The touch switching that controls the lighting worked well at home but here in the office at work it is a bit twitchy and unresponsive at times. I am going to chalk that up to my work environment which carries a lot of bluetooth and wifi activity through a large number of computer terminals. Not sure why that would affect a touch switch but i know that the touch switching worked very well at home. That about sums it up for now, Again....A nice product for the price with audio volume and quality that is more than acceptable at this price point.UPDATE 06/01/2017 - Ran the Bluetooth for 3 hours. Went to top off the battery and it would barely take a change. So I ran the light on high for about 30 minutes just to make sure that it was still charging properly and it took about 5 minutes to top off. If that is any indication...An I know this is a much higher capacity battery...Battery life should be good. I also noticed that once the Bluetooth was turned off the touch pad handled the lighting functions normally again, so there may be some type of interference from the Bluetooth upon the touch switch panel. A minor issue if that is the case.
