Excellent way to get back in the game
Used to play back in high school 30 years ago. Thought I'd try this to get me back on my sax, and I'm having a great time with it! The tunes are catchy and it's fun to play along with the CD. Good variety of jazz styles, and explanation of the concepts for each song.

Advertised As New But Missing one CD - Excellent Book. Amazon Slipped on this Sale.
The Greg Fishman phrasing series is an excellent resource for learning sax. I bought a brand new copy and when it arrived the CD for tenor sax was missing. My complaint has nothing to do with Greg Fishman. I'm very disappointed in the quality assurance (or lack of) that I experienced during this Amazon purchase. I won't bother to return the book since I wrote on the cover. I'm learning to play tenor sax but for this volume looks like I'll be forced to play Alto. I guess Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC means, Let the Buyer Beware! I got burned on this purchase. Lesson learned!

Great Jazz Starter Series for Sax!!!!
Excellent for Beginner - Intermediate Sax players interested in Jazz. Easy to write harmony part to. Slow - Medium tempos. I own all 3 books in this series. I play alto and tenor sax.

These short exercises are a lot of fun to play
These short exercises are a lot of fun to play, and the backing track on CD (with or without soloist) really swings! The melodies are clever and catchy, and hearing Fishman play them helps me develop an idea of the phrasing and tone for each style.

Great product
Like the first two volumes in this series, Volume 3 delivers catchy tunes with great backing tracks. You can learn the articulation from the tracks with the sax playing the melody. Greg Fishman is a wonderful teacher. He puts a tremendous amount of work into all of his books.

Neue Stücke augenscheinlich leichter,
aber so ausgetüftelt wie wir es von Greg Fishman gewohnt sind. So komme ich gut in Bossa Blues und Latin rein. Spielfreude ist schon nach den ersten Stücken spürbar, Erweiterungs und Veränderungsmöglichkeiten werden aufgezeigt. Gute Basis für eigene Ideen und Weiterentwicklungen die schon in den,, hip links for Saxophone" reichlich erscheinen sind. Hier aber eben in ganzer ausnotierter Form. Gelungene Kompositionen für die eigene Spielfreude fördernt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Pas toujours facile de trouver des exercices avec un bel accompagnment ! C'est le cas ici. Les morceaux sint supers et l'accompagnement sublime.
