Damn Son Where Did You Find This?: A Book about US Hiphop Mixtape Cover Art

Recommended for any hip-hop heads with a soft spot for mixtape culture. Paper quality is good, plentiful artwork is ultra-sharp. This book is a deep dive into the work of five of hip-hop's notable mixtape cover art designers. There's Q&A style interviews with each one and plenty of examples of their work. Most of the cover art included is from the late 2000's to the mid teens. I'm not a huge fan of really any of the artists included but still enjoyed the book for the creativity and artistic talent on display (c'mon - Little Wayne as an Avatar character, LOL). I love books that take a deep dive into a very niche subject area and display it well. This book is certainly that. Now I wish someone would do one for the late 90's-early 00s NY scene....
