improved design, dropped the ball on performance
See the video comparison to the Elite 12 Cup model. ($160 at Costco)They seem to perform very similarly at chopping and slicing, but Core is much much louder.Verdict: I think Cuisinart dropped the ball here, and I would expect the price to drop as well to reflect that.took 1 ⭐️ off for an incredibly loud motor and 1 ⭐️ off for the price/function.👎 What Elite has and Core doesn't:- wide chute- small 4 cup bowl- daugh blade- adjustable slicer PS. adjustable slicer sounds like a great thing, but it is harder to clean and harder to store.- quiet motor- more powerful motor- has a spout + and blades lock to the bowl so they won't fall out when you flip the bowl. (this is probably just me-- the blade once fell out and chipped a decent chunk of coating on my non-stick pan)👍 What Core has and Elite doesn't:- easier to store (blade storage stand, more compact base)- easier to clean- variable speeds (have not found a use for that)- ability to use juicer and blender on the same base ($70 extra for the juicer)

It was pretty but disappointing
Wanted a larger, more powerful unit than my 8-cup Cuisinart since it takes about an hour to make almond butter on that one. Well guess how long it took to churn out almond butter on this brand new, larger, more impressive device … 1 hour and then I had to pour the thick and not smooth almond paste into my older 8-cup unit to finish the job. Not to mention I felt the need to hold the newer one down since it was shaking like it was a little scared and not up to the challenge. Also I had to stop every 30 seconds or so to wipe down the sides as the chopping blade was only processing the area closest to the blade. It’s probably good for other foods but don’t buy it if you plan on making nut butters. I’ll never know though cause I’m returning it asap.

Screeching loud and feels cheap.
Gave it 2 stars for size and style. I did not test this with food, so I can’t speak for it’s true performance. Between the loud screeching motor and the cheap feel of the overall processor I didn’t want to take a chance. The base felt light and hollow. The plastic housing felt really cheap.

it always works
I have used Cuisinart for years and they are sturdy machines and last for a long time.Even the blades remain sharp. The only thing I noticed that the old one was very heavy and the new one is much lighter in weight.
