I can always count on Better than Bouillon products. They always come through with the very best flavors I have ever used. Easy to use and store in the jars.

I make my own broths and most everything from scratch and seldom buy any 'prepared' foods. But, I go through more broth than I can make and my sister (who is also a good cook) suggested I get some of this to keep on hand and help 'supplement' my needs. So, I ordered these.Lo and behold, I needed some broth for a gravy and didn't have any thawed and wasn't about to go outside in the freezing temperatures to the garage freezer to get some, so I decided to use some of the BTB Chichen. I followed the directions and made some gravy and then tasted it. I was so shocked at the taste that I was dumbfounded and confused. It didn't taste like gravy! It was...it was...what? It was SWEET! It tasted and smelled like SUGAR! Truly horrified and stunned, I grabbed the jar to see the ingredients and sure enough, sugar is listed as the third and fourth ingredient! Mind you, I'm not appalled because of some dietary regiment, but because I don't like sugar at all (except in my coffee), and especially in foods that have absolutely no need for it! I mean, how many of you make your broths or gravies with SUGAR?? i don't even understand WHY they would put sugar in bouillon paste, of all things, but they did, and a LOT of it.So, with much salt, pepper and many savory herbs and spices, I doctored it up, but I think you should know.And if any person from the Better than Bouillon company is reading this - what on earth were you thinking? It really ruined an otherwise really great and convenient product.

This is a winner! Better Than Boullion as a name is an understatement! How could I be 62 and only just now discovering it!! Very flavorful, rich. Easy to work with. Bye bye cubes forever!!

Absolutely dig this stuff. I use it in making sauces, as an addition to packaged side dishes, in the liquid used to cook rice and some pastas. Also great as the salt component for marinades. Highly recommend this fine product.
