Works out of the box with a little solar (light & radio) but not for charging iPhones. The only way to get a slight charge was with the battery being fully charged and using the crank. Although the the iphone then said "not compatible device" and stopped so I returned this item.

I love this little gem, especially while camping.

I used this item already and satisfied, but hope it last for a long period of time.

Battery doesnt last. I can charge it for hours with the usb charger or hand crank it for what feels like forever. The light will shine bright for like a minute and then dies. The radio works. Save your money and buy something else.

Ordered 2 of these one broke would not charge completely one still works but only limited amount of time. The light is bright I would not buy again or recommend it.

This purchase was made after giving me the impression that there were multiple ways to charge my phone with this device while outdoors. NOPE! 🥲 It has to be continually wound while charging the phone, and winding takes a LOT of time and energy. It is very difficult to wind, because of the stiffness associated with winding the handle. It took more than four minutes of winding just to produce one bar of energy on my phone. I was exhausted afterwards, because I had to wind the handle fast, and consistently.The Radio, Light, or Siren work after winding, inserting batteries, or after charging via Sunlight. The energy doesn’t last more than five minutes on my device. The device holds a small amount of energy while using the Radio, Siren, or Light. I really like that the Light can be dimmed.Overall, it’s a waste of money if you’re trying to charge your phone or iPhone. It’s a great device if you want to use the device for camping.
