Off-Line Large Automatic Chlorinator for Inground & Above Ground Pools

Works better then my name brand did. Easy to open. Easy hook up. I highly recommend this product. Look no further buy it. The vendor is great shipped well and arrived on time.

The Chlorinator seems to work well and is not affected by the chlorine. I mention this since a unit that I bought previously, fell apart in less than two months (different make). I've been using it for about a month so far and my chlorine level has been consistent. I'm happy with this product.

Very cheap. Impossible to open. Body cracked. Sprays everywhere. Valve does not close the water all the way. Both connections are leaking.

Works, but quality could be better. I didn't like the idea of the "saddle" or tap type of fittings so I put tees in my filter piping and plumbed to that..... This involved me buying all new tubing and fittings however because the supplied items were of an unknown size that I could not match to mate with PVC. The female threads on the chlorinator are ⅜" if anyone else needs this info. I'm hoping to get through this season with this then look for something built better. The cap is good and not too bad to remove, but the housing seems thin and the bleeder and drain screws are low quality and delicate. Not bad for the cost and doing the job, but I think I'd go for better.

OK, so the pool came with a Hayward, which worked OK for years. I then replaced it with another Hayward, which was terrible from day one. Dial didn't want to go all the way from "off" to "full." Lid NEVER went on smoothly. Had to replace the o-ring multiple times almost every year because it would get pinched. Needed to use pliers to get it off last summer--and pliers didn't work this spring! This one arrived today. Opened and closed smoothly. Not leaking without overtightening! Came with teflon tape. This unit is a single-piece base (Hayward's was 2 pieces, and would slip off if you picked up the unit.) Install was the same as the Hayward. The only two things I can comment on that may not be positive is the lid opens/closes strangely. (I'm not going to call it an issue--just different than Hayward's.) Also, Hayward puts a "click-stop" notch to make sure you tighten it enough...not that it actually stopped you from turning it tighter. This one doesn't have that, though it was tight enough to prevent it from leaking--without effort! I'll change the post if it degrades over the summer. However, this was a great UPGRADE over the brand-name.

Pretty good. I notice a small leak coming from the bottom I think, I need to investigate further. It took getting used to opening the lid as it is quite different than the Hayward I had previously. Overall, I think it is a good unit and seems to work well.

If you get this check the flow direction as all i have had is troubles with chlorine level being low. This replaced one i had before and it broke. Once i figured the flow direction was stamped wrong i now have no chlorine issues. Good product but beware.

At almost 1/2 the cost of the real Hayward units, these work just as good. I bought this one after our previous one (also the same non-Hayward variety) became 'locked' - I couldn't remove the top. I eventually got the top off, so now I have a spare. Our filter stopped working properly while we were on vacation, so I think the concentrated chlorine caused the lubricant on the O-ring to solidify and prevented the top from turning. I don't blame the chlorinator for this. I got it cleaned up and bought some new lubricant for next time. I would definitely recommend this unit as a replacement for the Hayward unit.

I purchased this chlorinator back in April 2023. It has served me for two seasons and I have not had any issues. I remove it every season and store it indoors and it has served me well. I would buy this brand again in the future.

Easy to open. So much better than the impossible to open Hayward brand .

Installation was simple and no leaks! Holds about 20 pucks, good for at least a month.

1ft above ground pool, just installed it, lasted a day and valve just popped off, still stuck in the unit. I guess the whole thing is garbage now as I can't even find replacement fittings! Update: after Amazon shipped the wrong replacement. I bought Hayward CL200/CL220 valves (3rd pic) and they don't leak and not cracked as plastic is different and they are molded better. So get ready to replace valves on that thing if they leak or crack during install.
