Wool Fat Shaving Soap in Dish

What made MWF so great was the fact it used to contain mutton tallow. The original version pucks are about impossible to find so I bought this as the first ingredient shown in still sodium tallowate. The new version does not have this and the picture is wrong. I have the new version and it does not shave the same as the old version. Promptly returned.

Second time's a charm. I received one with a broken dish, due to Amazon's shoddy packing. The subsequent one I received was packaged even worse but, much to my surprise, made the journey unscathed.It's great soap but the dish looks pretty delicate. I wonder how long it will survive on the marble counter in the bathroom. We shall see.

The $13 cost of the soap bar is appropriate, but the $27 for the included ceramic bowl with lid is a rip off. I read several very good reviews about this soap and purchased it based on them. I found it OK, but not anything special. I've been wet shaving for well over ten years and know how to lather soap. While I was able to get a pretty good lather, it doesn't provide very much protective lubrication.

Superb. However if you shave in the shower and have wet hands, eventually you will drop it. If so, it's broken.Otherwise one of the very best.

I ordered the dish and extra pucks seeing as how companies in the EU are removing tallow (Tabac this means you!) from the old school pucks.I already had a puck in a 1 cup Pyrex container but figured this was a good time to move it over.MWF produces mounds of lather once dialed in. The lanolin provides glides, slide, and moisture.I plan on purchasing several more pucks before they change the formula.
