I've got my North star.. she will always right my course.
I love the mind of King. Seriously - he is a beautiful human being and has an amazing way to express his feelings. I love the relationship between him and Cress. My heart about cracked in half but man what a beautiful story. I would have liked to have seen a bit more angst, which is the only downside I'm finding in this book. I feel like it didn't keep me on my toes as well as the previous books in this series. Still - loved the story and love this couple.

King & Cress | Part 2
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️I’m really glad Cress and King got a second book. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first, largely because it was single POV. I think King added SO much. He has such an interesting mind that I feel like their story was lacking without his perspective.I really like King and I like Cress, but for some reason their books haven’t been my favorite of the series. But I absolutely loved seeing their relationship grow. They have both matured and their love is as strong as ever! The action felt kind of like it was smashed into the last 15% of the book. But it definitely will give you all the feels. I love that we got a little bit of Zeus’ perspective as well, because who doesn’t want more Zeus?!

Amazing
Never have I cried so much, this series is so different then anything I have ever read. It takes you into their lives and you feel what they are feeling. You want what they want and wish them nothing but happiness.

This One Will Rip Out Your Heart and Crack Open Your Soul...
There is something about this series I simply cannot ignore, a heaviness I both relate to and appreciate even when it cleaves my heart in two and weighs down my soul until I lose my breath. I have read many MC romance books, have even loved a few, but this series is one of only two that have seared itself into my very DNA for all of eternity. And this book, the forth of Giana Darling’s, The Fallen Men Series, and second full length book devoted to King and Cressida, is beyond anything I have ever read before. I cannot even fully put into words the emotions “After the Fall” will foist upon you as you navigate a story so fraught with peril it will leave you irrevocably altered. Here Darling begins close in line with the end of book three, a short time after King decides to prospect for the club, delving a bit further into his reasons for it. It begins benign enough with the first third of it laying down some of the finer relationship and day-to-day living details of him and Cress, as well as, their individual and collective relationship to the club. However, while the love portrayed between them will make you swoon you will quickly become aware of a darkness hovering above, evil looming, waiting to pounce. As despite the nonthreatening nature of the scenes before you, other bits woven into the fabric around them will make your senses prickle with unease from the end of the very first chapter. The initial unease quickly shifting to an understanding that all the seemingly mundane details have sharp and dangerous points of purpose, all driving toward a set of events so surreal, so absolutely mind-bending you will scramble to understand how all could have gone so terribly astray.I was stunned at the events in this installment, so much so I cannot even provide my normal story synopsis as it would simply give too much away. So instantly perilous, so powerfully all consuming is this story, it will lock you in a literary death grip until the very last page, refusing to let you go even when you begin to beg for mercy. And. You. Will. Beg...Never have I read a book that so quickly and easily made me so afraid to turn the page. Never have I read prose so steeped in unapologetic, heart piercing decisions that it made me terrified to read the next paragraph, the next sentence, or at times even the next word.I would like to say this one will continue the intense but dreamy feeling deep in your belly that began in the earlier installments. However, this one will stoke a much different sort of feeling. Rage. Rage at the corruption. Rage over the targeted, abusive methods employed. Rage at the lengths some are forced to go to in order to keep those they love safe. And even more rage at the decisions themselves, as they alter the course of the lives and relationships of everyone involved forever. This installment made me seethe with unbridled, gut churning rage that simmered long and low and left me torn and emotionally spent. All while simultaneously basking in the beauty that is the unbreakable love and loyalty of the chosen Fallen family. The emotional rollercoaster that is this book is almost beyond comprehension. So heavy will the events portrayed within lay on your heart, you will cease to be able to breathe, to think, to momentarily exist as you process the words before you. The feelings thrust upon you so intense you will shatter, splintering into a million tiny fragments as understanding takes root within you. Yet despite the emotional exhaustion you will feel as the last words cross your mind’s eye, and despite the absolute agony this story will put you through, it is worth every, last, bit of torture. And you will jump immediately into book five in order to continue the literary high.

A good wrap up on King & Cress
Although I have to agree with some of the other reviews, that the epilogue from the third book spoiled this one, so the last 30% of this book left me with no emotion because you get a glimpse of their HEA at the very end of the third one. At any rate, it was great to get a full blown conclusion to our Garros, and I look forward to digging into Nova and Priest’s stories.

An amazing continuation to King and Cress.
Sorry my tears make it hard to write this review. First they were brought on by heartbreak, gut wrenching sadness and then they came back due to so much joy and happiness, I overflowed with love and admiration for these people. This story follows King and Cress well into their relationship and love. It takes place in the same timeline as Good Gone Bad, if you’ve read that then you know we aren’t given very much detail as to how The Fallen feel in regards to the brewing war with another MC club, crooked cops and the whole HR situation. You’ve given all that and more when reading this book which I 100% needed, you witness the anguish, the sorrow and the soul crushing situations Zeus, King, the ladies and the whole Fallen crew deal with. This was the book I cried the most to. I just knew something devastating was going to happen and I could do nothing to stop it, I felt like I was a part of their family, I wanted to DO SOMETHING which is weird to admit because they’re just words on a page, they’re not real but that doesn’t matter, I felt so much for them, for all of them. The writing was also completely stunning. It was beautiful, it was poetic, it was everything. Also we need to talk about how enigmatic Zeus is, every time he talked or appeared in this book I fell more in love with him, how he could just steal the spotlight away from everyone, I don’t know how Giana does it, how this man was created from her, he’s ruined me for any other man fictional or otherwise (see this book isn’t even about him and I can’t stop talking about him)But just as easily as your heart is ripped apart it’s mended and brought back together at the end of this book. The journey we are subjected to I would do it all over again knowing what rested on the other side.

Cress and king are back
“Knew the moment I saw you across Mac’s Grocer parkin’ lot you were the one for me. Knew it like you were made from me, for me, and you were just slottin’ back into place inside me. Adam’s rib returned to him”TropesReverse Age gapMC RomanceEveryone who has spoken to me on here knows my love of the Fallen Men Series. I’m going to keep shouting it from the rooftops until you all have read it 🤪 You will not be disappointed!!After The Fall is the fourth book in the Fallen Men series and is unique as we are not introduced to a new couple here, we have the continuation of King and his Queenie Cress’ amazing, poetic, written in the stars love story. These two are as in love as ever, the spice is TOP TIER and King Kyle Garro keeps the poetry coming. Who knew writing poetry all over someone’s body was so freaking hot? Well it is when it’s Cress and King 🥵I don’t want to give anything away about this book. Please go in blind. All I’m going to say is that it is set at the same time as Good Gone Bad but from Kings and Cress POV and then continues on from the events of that book. You will go through a rollercoaster of emotions 😭😭😭 and there is so much dramaI want to mention a particular chapter of this book that broke me. We get a chapter from Daddy Zeus POV. I am a massive King Kyle Garro fan and his poetic words are magical BUT Daddy’s Zeus words, although not poetic are the ones that get to my heart each time. It was my favourite chapter of the book and I was in tears. These Garro men have my heart ❤️ I’m so excited for book 5 but I don’t want this series to end 😭❤️❤️

Damn!
So I found the fallen men last year when I brought the book box from the author herself with the first two books signed. I’ve been sucked in ever since whilst taking a small breather after each book so far to steady my emotions and come down from the book hangover.I’ll tell you now when I first picked up these books to read I never thought I’d end up in floods of tears from an MC book. But I’ll tell you now I cried like a baby reading the last few chapters of this book much like I cried like a baby when a certain thing happened in welcome to the dark side! This story had me sucked in from the first page and damn it was nice to be back with king and cress again! Their relationship is a beautiful one and well written! The relationship has blossomed over the years separating the two books that feature king and cress as the main characters. The relationships between Cress and Z and cress and the other brothers has grown and developed into more than you could imagine! It was lovely to see Ares step forward and be a rock for Cress and I loved how he grew and built his own relationships with the adopted family!

Speechless
I dont know how to put into words how amazing this book was! First off let me say sit down, buckle up and prepare for a bumpy ride. I was so happy to get more of cressida aka queenie and king even after book 1 lessons in corruption you could tell there was more of their story to tell. I didn't know what to expect with this book but from messages i got and gianas dedication at the beginning i went in fearful lol! This book by far made me the most emotional and i didn't think i could cry harder than i did in welcome to the darkside when it came to our beautiful giant Mute but this one shattered my heart when i hit the end of chapter 22 i had to pause at finish up for the night cause i honestly it knocked the wind out of me but when i went back in the next morning the pain they were feeling i could feel it and it broke me! But our fallen men and woman know how to piece you back together let me tell you id never relief like it but thats the beauty of this series and gianas writing its an incredible, beautiful, raw, heartbreaking, loving journey you are brought on and as i read on in this series giana just leaves me in awe book after bookRead this series!!

AMAZING!!
Where do I start with this beautiful book? Firstly, The Fallen Men series has a special part in my heart, it will forever be the series that contains my favourite family I’ve ever read. The whole series is my comfort read. I first read this series last summer and I started to read After The Fall straight after Good Gone Bad and I made the mistake of looking at reviews… (possible spoilers below)I saw how sad the book was and I ended up seeing what happens and I was adamant right there and then, I couldn’t put myself through that!! Cress and King and my favourite book couple of all time and to read what I saw that happens, I freaked out and stopped reading the series because I didn’t want to read Inked In Lies before I read After The Fall.I put it off for so long until December last year where I decided to just read the epilogue of it and then I read the last two books. But now, I reread Lessons In Corruption where I just fell back in love with King and Cress and I said to myself, you know what? I know it’s all alright in the end so I’m going to read it.And wow, I am so glad that I did! I really wish I read it back last summer because so much makes sense now! Even though I spent most of the book crying, it was one of the most beautiful reads ever and I’m now in love with them both even more. The book broke me and put me back together again. I absolutely adored it from start to finish.I honestly love this series with my whole heart and I will always go back to these books, the fallen family are just one big protective happy family and I love them so much.Thank you Giana for making the most perfect series ever

King and Cres... again!
Gosh this was a dull book. I generally can finish a book of this size within 5 hrs but this one took me over a week of repeatedly trying to get into it but I just couldn’t. It was boring - for most of the time it only told stories that were told in the other books but now from King and Cressidas view. This was the couple I felt least for in terms of emotional connect in this series and them getting another book was woefully painful. I read it only to see if there was much to tell but I can’t recommend it.
