Very Helpful
I found this book helpful in that I was able to pick up a lot of posing ideas. I would have given it five stars except for the fact there there was no mention of photographing plus size models. All of the models illustrated, even though very beautiful, were pretty much stick thin and very young. Not the kind of women I enjoy creating with. It was worth the money however and I don't regret buying it.

Fellow Rochestarian proudly supports local author.
Although I am not a professional photographer myself, I would have to disagree with the statements that the book is full of typos and that Amherst Media made a bad selection of authors. As I read the book it was clear to me that the author has a passion for his selected form of artistic expression and what he wants to do is share his experiences with other photographers with the intent of inspiring as well as providing instruction to people who might be interested in his chose form of photography. The pictures strengthened the message that the author was delivering within the written text. Although I am not a photographer myself, I enjoyed the images that were selected for the book.I would recommend this book for anyone interested in the art form of artistic nude photography. The images are great and the text is easy to read and understand even for those of us who are not professional or amateur photographers. I look forward to putting this book on my coffee table for friends and family to enjoy.

A lot of disappointment for $20.00
I bought this book knowing that Amherst Media is geared more towards those with little to no experience. I've found some gems from them like Available Light by Don Marr and Posing Techniques by Billy Pegram so I was willing to take a chance. I don't know what the other reveiwers were thinking, but this book is awful. Here's a synopsis.-Writer Peter Bilous is an amateur photographer. This means he does this as a hobby, not as his career. He gladly admits this in the book. Although he has some nice images, it shows in his selection.-Peter Bilous is self taught, not school taught. His beginners book assumes you're at a level of using a point and shoot on auto and that you intend to keep using that. Amherst, shame on you for your selection of an author, get some one with more experience please.-A lot of typos and information is frequently repeats information.-I've been shooting with a dSLR and researching photography(self taught) for about six months. I didn't learn anything new in this book which is disappointing. The book talks more concepts and common sense with little explanation.I would suggest you go buy something like Nude Photography: The Art and Craft by Pascal BAetens or Photographing the Nude by Mike Crawley. They are conceptual books, but done at a much higher level in technical explanation and quality of work.

A good start to taking nude photos
I bought this book with no expectations really and was pleasantly surprised. It is what it says it is - a Beginners guide to Photographing Nudes. With no experience really its a very helpful book. It walks you through the process and the steps to taking nude photographs. From finding models and coming up with ideas for your own photos. I have only read through the books once, but I did not encounter any typos as the one other reviewer stated. If you are looking for a complete technical manual, this may not be the book for you. If you want a good book with some good ideas buy this one. I would recommend this book, and I would buy it again.

it is not as easy as it looks
There is an awful lot of information here to absorb. It is not automatic and takes lots of practice. Read and follow and read and follow again.
