Better

I bought this album solely off the great reviews and a few other reasons. I've always loved her voice but never got totally into her music. Watched her on R&B Divas hollywood and loved her personality. Most recently saw her on the 2015 Soul Train awards in the "soul circle" and she blew me AWAY! Lawddd she had me so turnt. Anyway thank you to the reviewers cause i listened to the whole album in the car the other day and never skipped one song. I am very picky with the R&B albums I buy. As of recently the last two I bought were TGT and the Toni Braxton and BabyFace album, these young r&b minions today just don't do it for me all the music sound the same and they can't SANG. So I refer to the OG's in the game, or in this case the more mature REAL artist that don't follow "trending" beats and producers etc. BLAH. When i listen to music i need it to touch my SOUL and this album touch my soul and spirit. FANTASTIC JOB CHRISETTE!!!

What do you say about someone who's so great that she can name an album Better, yet still just be the best ever! Okay, I can't leave out Patti Labelle and Chaka Khan, or the late, great Whitney Houston, but what better company can a young, relatively new, female singer be in? When it comes to the singers of today, those like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Chrisette Michele are in a league of their own. Yes, there are other good singers. But, Chrisette stands alone in the clean, well thought out lyrics, most sophisticated, intelligent breakups, and highly trained, soothe me one minute and fly me to the moon the next vocal ability.What can I say but I can't wait to hear more from this songbird. Her song, "Snow" is my all time favorite from the album, and maybe from all of her songs, but WOW! She's yet to make one, yes, not even one that I don't simply love and can listen to time and time again. That is one baaaaad lady that's just sooooo good!

i don't know why America has not put this Artist in the fore front of the music industry. it's amazing they would rather play hip hop than to treasure a hidden gem. have every album ( record) she's put out and love them all. like a lot of reviewers stated i think she should stay away from rap and hip hop as well. Her first two joints were why we fell in love with her. She is a classy singer and should stay classy. I hope her next album will be like the first two " I Am & Epiphany". The runs in those 2 Albums were off the chart.

It's really hard to find real music these days. Luckily, Chrisette comes to the rescue! I love this entire cd. I literally can listen to the whole thing day after day after day and it doesn't get old. The only time I switch this cd out is to hear Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events cd for a bit. For about 3 months now i've been rotating between these 2 cds. When I purchased these, I also bought 3 other cds. The crazy part is I haven't even taken the plastic packaging off of those yet. I will eventually. Buy this today you won't regret it!!My faves are probably a [couple of forevers], Let me win, Love won't leave me out, {Better, Supa, Can the cool be loved, {Ten foot Stilettos, and I'm still fly] (in no particular order)

I got first say Chrisette always puts out quality soulful music with a feel good vibe and that being said this album shows continue growth in leaps and bounds as an artist. If your a fan of Miss Michele I recommend buying the deluxe the whole album is off the charts and one of the best R&B albums to kick off the summer of 2013.

This disc is above the last cd recorded, cause it hits a level that I always knew that she was capable of performing. The songs are totally soul, and some have that jazzy feel to them, and the ballads sound as if she has gone thru that pain for real. She strikes every chord with this disc and I'm not only loving it, but I'm recommending it to my peeps. They will be in for a treat here. Her voice so totally matches the vibe showcased here. This was clearly a more soulful, yet compelling effort here. WAY TO GO, CHRISETTE!!!

Was pleasantly surprised with this album. I honestly haven't picked up anything from Chrisette since her very first album 'I Am.' Favorites are 'Snow', 'Supa', 'You Mean That Much To Me', 'Ten Foot Stilettos'. I don't mind some of the rap lyrics that are infused into the songs. (love 'Rich Hipster' w/ Wale). The only one that bothers me is 'Charades' feat. 2 chainz. LOVE the song, hate 2 chains' verse. His rapping 'skills' come off very weak and amateur. "feelin' u masseuse,...I'm talkin' me n u, who, aint no I, I hit it fo like an hour, hit it like ow, she gone need a towel, and she like aww" What??!!! Ridiculous mess. Other than that tragedy, the album is great. Keep it up Chrisette!

I love Chrisette's work. She is an amazing artist. I loved her debut album and sophomore effort. The last album however left much to be desired. Something was missing. This album however reminds me of everything I loved about her in the first place. That sweet jazzy voice of hers is back in such a big way. Love, love, love this album. She did her thing here and deserves your money so BUY this album. You wont regret it. Awesome work Chrisette!!!!
