The description says that they are all inserted with the same polarity facing out, so that they would all tend to repel each other's base. This is false, because about half of these (25 or so) are north and the other half (about 25) south. In fact, they arrived with almost all of them paired to another, base to base. They attract each other STRONGLY. You can put one on the side of each fingertip, and both will stick through your finger. And it seems that the magnets are jammed into each piece, not glued. Within minutes of having these,the magnet in one unit pulled out the magnet in another, when I pulled apart two that arrived stuck together. These are not child safe.

Nice quality and strong. I love the clear box the magnets come in... Makes it a very presentable gift for young and old alike! Kids had fun seeing which magnets "liked" other ones... That on account of some magnets are positive side up, others face down... So some are attracted to each other while others repulse each other as you push them around on the counter. That could be a fun game for a little kids and they're all very colorful. Orientation of the magnet in the plastic push pin casing of course does not affect their attraction to metal surfaces like your refrigerator. Great buy for so many magnets attractivly packaged :-)

Very handy for notes, etc., and also for holding pens, pencils and the like. Just line a couple of them up and you have an instant holder for all sorts of items!

Ordered the second time because the 1st time the product was good. The second time around, we got an empty box!!?!?
