I did a ton of research and purchased this because I love that it easily clips on without the hassle of getting a head or legs through holes. This harness also has the highest reviews at the best price. Harness seems well made but sizing is off so it gets four stars. We followed the size guide and ordered a small for our our pup who is 18'' around her chest and she was swimming in it. Just ordered an xs despite the measurements here indicating it will be too small. These photos are on the smallest setting for the small. Moose is 13 pounds and 18" around her chest. Fingers crossed!

Bought this model because of the good ratings, but should have paid more attention to the design instead. It doesn't have a chest plate (strap between the legs), just two 'loops' that aren't connected. This means when you pull the leash the upper loop acts pretty much like a regular neck collar which defeats the whole purpose of buying a harness that provides more control without choking the dog. And without the chest plate between the front legs, there's nothing to stop the harness from rotating sideways when the dog walks, so it was always sliding off to one side which required frequent readjusting and drove us nuts. Choose a harness with a chest plate instead. It will be more comfortable for the dog and less hassle for you.

So easy to put on! My mini goldendoodle is 8 1/2 months old, and I've bought several different brands of these "harnesses." This is the best one so far. It's solidly built, lightweight, and looks really handsome. All you have to do is pop it over your dog's head, then reach around his tummy to latch it on one side. My previous favorite one had velcro on top, and the velcro kept getting stuck in all his fluffy hair. I still like that one, but this one is very pretty and easier to put on. I got the blue one like in the picture. It's a beautiful color! The latch is slightly bigger, more substantial, than the other brand I got. When he pulls on the leash, he slows down because the vest pulls at his chest, and doesn't hurt his neck. Also, there's only one big steel clip to hook onto the leash unlike the other brand I got, where you have to hook two clips while the dog is squirming around. The clip on this one is bigger and easier to grab with the leash hook. The "handle" feature is useful, too, when I need to lift him out of his car seat. Because of the handle, this harness serves as a kind of front dog lift for a small/medium dog. I got size Medium for my mini goldendoodle, who is about 30 pounds - there's plenty of room for adjustment, and I like to keep it a little loose. He has lots of really fluffy hair and fur, and I don't want it to get all matted. It works just fine when I keep it loose. One thing, though. Only use the harness for outdoor walks. If you leave one of these harnesses on your dog all day, there's a chance your dog will chew off the plastic latches. But it's easy to put on and take off.

This is my second time buying this harness. the 1st one he grew out of. It still looks Brand new. I love this harness so much I had to get it again.

Great fit for my Shiba-Lab mix. I love that it's breathable for long walks and hikes. He is a major puller and it has not ripped or torn from the tension. I also like the reflective pattern on it for night walks, and the handle on the back is wonderful for passing by dogs he wants to bark at, just a quick tug and he's right back on track. It's much easier to put on than the step-in harnesses, and from day one he seems more comfortable and the little rashes under his armpits have disappeared, as this harness doesn't come in contact with that area at all. This is a really great harness. It is well-made and seems quite comfortable. My 3-month old English Shepherd has no problem wearing it for several hours a day, and doesn't seem to even notice it. And, it annoys him when even just a single pine needle clings to his coat.Being a puppy, he is quite flexible, and it is possible for him to slip out of this harness if he were to panic and back out of it hard enough. I would have to cinch it up pretty tight to prevent this because the harness materials are quite soft and a little stretchy. So, I don't think this would be a great choice for a wild child, particularly around traffic. But, it's absolutely fine for all but the most unruly or slippery dog.One thing that others have noticed is that the neck is disproportionately large. My dog has very average proportions and the neck size is as small as it will go, but is still quite loose. However, the girth strap fits just right at the smallest adjustment.So, when determining the size to buy, pay attention to the neck size and make sure you get a size that will go at least an inch or two smaller in the neck than you think you need, because you may find it runs an inch or two larger than you would expect.

I accidentally posted one star on this product, and I'm here to clear it up...this is an outstanding harness for our older dog. The handle at the top of the harness is a bonus. This harness takes the pressure of a leash from a dog's neck and distributes it across the chest. Love it.

I bought this for my very active!... Shiba Inu puppy:) I bought a harness so that he won't choke himself on the collar while pulling me (I think he thinks he's a sled dog and I am the sled)...when we are out for walks and so that he isn't able to escape from me while doing his alligator rolls. I bought the red in small for now as he's only 5 months old. He also doesn't seem to be able to chew the harness. It's pretty easy to slip on over his head and then I clip the underbody latch when we go for walks. I find the harness to be attractive, very easy to use, and very sturdy and comfortably for my puppy. I will definitely purchase another one in the future when he gets a little bigger. Highly recommend!

This is a very good quality harness. It’s easy to adjust and assures a good fit. We’re on our second one, started with XS when our puppy out grew it we ordered the small right away. Small fits our 25 pound Australian Shepard and we still have room to make it bigger.

Was too small for my 3 mon old 22 lb lab so we got a medium. The only problem is we were okay'd to return the small which we did and so far no refund or email address to send the postage cost to!!!!!
