REALLY DARLING TOTES MINI UMBRELLA . SO CUTE WITH LITTLE RAIN DESIGN ALL OVER IT I LOVE IT.

The umbrella is very sturdy, opens easily and quickly. The print is nice and not too child-like. The NeverWet feature actually WORKS, and has cut down significantly on all the dripping in my car, in my house, in the store, etc. Very nice :-). However, I didn't read the description closely enough, because this umbrella does not have the auto-close feature. So when I get in my car, I need two hands to close the umbrella, which results in me and my car getting drenched. If you have an auto-close umbrella, you hold the umbrella out of the car with the door open only a few inches, push the button with your left hand and then pull the closed umbrella in, minimizing a good rain soaking. I like this umbrella, but am going to have to get a second one that has auto-close.

Totes are the only umbrellas I will buy. I end up buying a lot of them, not because they do not last, but because I lose them a lot. I forget them at a restaurant, in a shopping cart, etc,The last Totes umbrella I bought was not made well. That made me hesitant about receiving this one. The one I have in the car is very wobbly and it just feels flimsy. I was hoping this one would be made better. To my surprise, this one is made better.I would say this is more feminine and not unisex. It has an elegant appearance and men might not feel comfortable carrying it. I love the cover, it is very well made. The umbrella is very durable and has a really nice wide closure with Velcro. The handle is silver and gray and grips to your hand. It has the auto open button and when shutting it the part is clear plastic but very nice looking and durable as well.When you open the umbrella, it is wide enough for two people but the shaft is rather short. The material is different; I believe that is the part that keeps the water off of it and dries faster.I have used it in a downpour and it worked really well and felt comfortable in my hands. Once I was done I left it open to dry so I can’t say if it dried faster since I did not put it away until the next morning.I am impressed. It seems their umbrellas are making improvements.

The look:This pattern is so chic and goes with everything (should that be your concern)! The sleeve that comes with the umbrella is the same pattern as the umbrella itself so it all matches.The handle has a little bit of a textured/soft grip which is a little anti slip and a lot comfortable.The functionality:The deal with the Totes auto-open umbrella is that the push button is SO SLICK. It opens fully in an instant with the push of a button.To close it, you pull down with minimal resistance and it clicks back into the closed position. Wrapping the flap around the umbrella keeps it all tightly packed (over and over again - even with repeated uses it goes back to a slim pack) and the sleeve goes right on top of that easily.The "technology":Okay, I'm not sure what magic or wizard Totes contracted for this umbrella, but it doesn't stay wet. It defies logic and reason but it's true. When you go to close up your umbrella, it's like, not wet anymore. It's CRAZY but also FABULOUS because umbrellas are wonderful but wet umbrellas in your car or cubicle or on the train are less so. Totes has your back. This umbrella keeps you dry, keeps itself dry, and folds down into a compact little package.This umbrella is worth every penny (probably even twice that, tbh)

Very nice Tote umbrella. This iteration of the Tote umbrella feels sturdier and looks nicer than recent predecessors. It pops up smoothly and feels solid in the hands (although the handle is a bit small to be comfortable for extended use). The build appears to have more attention to detail than a couple of recent Tote purchases we have made. This particular color scheme is mainly for gals, and it does look great. In fact, it looks and works very well as a sun umbrella here in the U.S. high desert. We haven't had a chance to test it in high winds, but will update this review once we have that opportunity. So far, so good!

I should have read the reviews before I bought this umbrella. I guess I didn’t read the title very closely. I was really disappointed it does not have the auto close feature. If I knew that, I would not have purchased it. For this reason I am taking away 1 star. It is very inconvenient to use 2 hands to close the umbrella when getting into the car, especially if you have bags. It’s not a compact umbrella which makes me wonder why didn’t they just include the auto close feature. It should really be a standard feature.

My favorite umbrella, prior to having this Totes Signature umbrella, was a heavy-duty one which had to be carried by hand or looped onto my bag straps, as it was not collapsible. It could handle all the fierce winds of a serious rainstorm but was a pain to lug around walking in the city. This Totes umbrella is more lightweight, features "auto open" making it even more easy to use and best of all, fits right into my bag so I don't even need to worry about losing it (or if the colors match to my outfit). The pattern is unisex and modern, and from a distance looks more grey. The slipcover easily fits onto the umbrella and isn't deathly snug to put on like most. Overall a very good value to add to your collection of umbrellas.
