How to Draw 101 Fairies

I'm an art teacher and have a set of this series of drawing books in the early finishers corner in my classroom. My elementary students love the step by step visuals, and variety of options of things to draw!

My 10 year old daughter loves ti draw. I have been buying these books to draw this and that. So this time I decided to look and saw that they now had a book to help draw action figures. I was like great. I gave this to my daughter early to see what her reaction was. She was ecstatic. She has been practicing her drawing and added some of these drawings into her homemade comic book. The ones we bought her last year helped her with drawing different animals and other subjects. I think these are great for a child you loves to draw. I try and get some gifts each year that helps in an area of creativity or academic. One year more geared toward art supplies, one toward magic, one toward science-telescope/labs/microscope, one toward music/keyboard, one toward drawing....Books like this are great and our daughter has taken it to school. I got a call from some parents asking me about the books.

I had ordered various 101 books to help teach my 6 yrs old daughter how to draw various things. She has been showing a keen interest in wanting to draw various items and has us guessing what she has drawn lol. She really enjoys these step by step pictures on what to draw next to have the outcome be her desired fairy. Would recommend to anyone as a gift or a great rainy day project. Our kids have great fantasies, help them become more artistic

These are not simple step-by-step directions. The book serves as more of a guide, showing what the sketches look like at various stages, including the finished product. My 5th grade students seem to be enjoying it, but it is probably not designed for kids who are not motivated to put some effort in, or who are too young or uncoordinated to put effort in. I do think it is a valuable product for the right audience.

Very cute and appealing to girls in grades 1-6. Even though it's paperback, it's a very thick, sturdy cover (size is about 8x11) For only $2 a book, I use these as prizes at school. My 8 year old really wanted one, once she saw my shipment arrive. So I gave in and gave her one. She loves it. Not only does she draw fairies, but she also carefully colors the drawings in the book itself. The book seems like it could easily cost $10 or more.

We like these books so much that we have purchased several in the last couple of months. My nearly seven year old is using it as a guide to learn how to draw and my four year old uses it as a tracing book.

We have the 101 animals, and my daughter loves fairies, so I thought this would be a no brainer. But the fairy drawings are way too intricate for a five year old to master. I can see this turning her into a hot mess of frustration. So I put it away for when she's a little older.

I wouldnt say this is for beginners more like a skilled artist. The pictures are not broken up enough. Makes the pictures hard to re create.
