Did not clean my water bottle. There was still mold left inside. It is also supposed to remove smells and it did not.

These are easy to use, just drop into your water bottle and it does the work. I also use them in my camel pack because those are hard to clean.

First test, success. Removed the black stuff at the bottom of my partner's steel coffee mug. Cool.Second test, another success. I bought these with the collapsible water bottle (same brand) and it kept it clean on my week-long work trip. Didn't need to use hotel room soap, just left one of these in the bottle overnight and woke up to a fresh clean water bottle for the day! I do recommend for travel and hard to clean household bottles & mugs

I got these because I thought they would be great for a camping trip we were going on. We had our Nalgene bottles with us for water and brought a few extra jugs to refill them when needed. On day 3 I decided we would "wash" our Nalgene's with the tablets. The directions are very clear, but I was a little thrown off when it said I needed to let my bottle sit with warm water for 15 minutes. I did not have any warm water around and so I used the water from our jugs and followed the directions. My husband's bottle had nasty grime as if he never washes his so I was excited to see if these would get the job done. I ended up leaving the tabs in there for 20 minutes and shaking them quite a bit to ensure they got all the crud out. My water bottle looked about 80% clean and my husbands looked about 40% clean, you could still see his rings of grime. It says to repeat the steps if needed but I was annoyed of how long the process takes that I ended up washing it in the bathroom with a rag instead.Overall, I would rely on these if they were all I had but if you had other options, I would suggest not using these. The process to a clean bottle is long and the bottle does not get as clean as you may think it should.

Instead of using warm water as the directions on the box of HYD AWAY, Water Bottle Cleaning Tablets, 18 Count says, I used very hot water, because I was trying to clean my everyday Contigo Thermal Tumbler, that I have been using daily for several years.I thought that would be a good test, to see how well this product really works.I then added two tablets into my thermal tumbler, but instead of letting it sit for 15 minutes, as the directions on the product box says to do, I let it sit for at least one hour.I then put the top on my thermal tumbler, and shook it, as the directions say to do. I used my bottle brush to scrub the inside of the thermal tumbler, and rinsed it with very hot water.Bottom line, the bottom of my thermal tumbler was cleaner, less remaining stains, but it didn't remove any of the stains around the inside of my thermal tumbler.This product is fair at best, not great. I am not sure that if you used half of the box at once, 9 tablets, would it of done a better job!Using not 1, but 2 tablets, using very hot water, instead of warm water, and letting it sit for at least one hour, not 15 minutes, it should of done the trick, gotten my thermal tumbler completely clean.I wish I could find a product that really works well, because I have several thermal tumblers, and water bottles as well.My water bottles aren't the problem, but I need a product that works on coffee or tea stains in my thermal tumblers.I think this product would work better on light stains, but for heavier stains, I'd have to say no.

Do you know that smell where you've left protein powder in a shaker bottle too long? Or the one where you had water sitting in a bottle too long and a funky smell started to leech into the bottle? I was curious if this could remove that scent, and sure enough, it does. I've been combating the smell on my own using denture tablets. You can get them for 5 cents each. This is exactly the same thing, the ingredients are identical to a denture tablet cleaner. Just purchase that instead of this. I'm glad they are doing a PSA letting people know that denture cleaner tablets can clean out water bottle smells.Does this remove stains? Nope, this does have citrus acid which is primarily the ingredient used to remove those stains, I've found using a magic eraser sponge to be faster for small tea/coffee stains. The other item I use is Zojirushi Cleaner/Descaler Citrus Acid packs when I'm feeling lazy.To use this tablet, pour in boiling water for the best results and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Make sure that the entire surface is filled to get all the bacteria. Give it a rinse and use a sponge to clean it before using the bottle. If you don't clean it well, you can be poisoning yourself since it contains perborate that causes stomach issues.TLDR: This will remove funky smells and sanitize your bottles. It doesn't work well for stains. It's cheaper to buy denture cleaner tablets at 5 cents each.

I use denture tablets all the time for my water bottles and travel mugs, so I was a little surprised when I opened these and they looked and felt the same. Sure enough, I dropped them in water and soaked my travel mug. This tablet smelled/looked and behaved just like a denture tablet. There would be no reason for me to purchase these over what I am already using. They didn't out clean a denture tablet or provide any outstanding benefits, so I'll just use what I've been using.

These clean no better than dish soap and water. They are similar to denture tablets and have a light scent. Their best use is probably for travel because they are too expensive to use at home. Using two tablets did not work any better than using one. I was not impressed with these and will not purchase in the future.
