These are awesome little brackets and come with everything you need except the drill and bits. One things to note is that you do have to drill pretty large pilot hopes if you use these in wood. I stripped a number of screws with smaller pilot holes and now have to try extracting a couple. Thankfully they sort of blend in, but I had to get the holes so large that the screw barely grabs the wood to avoid further screws from being damaged.Beyond the delicate screws, these come with drywall anchors and are nice and sturdy. I used them as accents for a desk I built and wanted to make fancy and love how the project turned out. They would certainly work as a little shelf holder as well and the iron is a pretty good quality. These don't feel brittle at all and I could easily tighten the screws without any sign of cracking.All said, I am quite please.

No hardware included.That part is a lie, false advertisement.But on the other hand, I love the brackets.

I bought the small, antique gold brackets, and one of the four came with a medium sized, painted defect that didn't bother me enough to bother with an exchange. The defect is a 0.5" by 0.5" and is visible in my main product photo. The brackets are heavy and appear to be real cast iron. That weight, the weight of your shelf, and decor will need an anchor to withstand it all in the wall. The anchors it comes with are useless, one broke upon inspection. I attached a picture with a better drywall/plaster/tile plastic anchor (3/8" pop-toggle). The screws also don't seem too strong, so I might use the ones from the pop toggle bag and paint them. For the money, I think the brackets are good. The 24 flimsy plastic anchors are garbage and the 24 matching lightweight screws may not fit the application.I would have prefered to spend $15 for four brackets, since I need to buy spearate anchors and screws.The shelves I was sent are 4.625" by 4.625" by 1.125". The color is just like the product listing image.

You need to change the drywall anchors. I was lucky enough to have some on hand so I could mount the ones I have done so far, but now I am out of what I previously had. I (seriously) like that none of the pieces are exactly the same with regard to the holes, which tells me this is hand pressed iron maybe? Anyway, the drywall anchors are too big, and they have no grooves in the part closest to the wall edge. The result is that when you start screwing the screw, it is difficult to get the screw started because the anchor falls out, inside the wall. Then I tried starting the screws in the anchor before pushing them into the drywall holes, but because the smooth part has no texture, the anchor spins around in circles, preventing you from expanding the two flanges on the inside of the drywall. Since it spins both ways, it is a real challenge to get the screw back out, without ripping a hole in the drywall.

I have ordered twice because they are sturdy and beautiful.

This is a genuine review . The item is very sturdy and has a great look for what it is priced at. The holes are bit oddly placed and hence the 4 stars but everything looks great!

These are great little cast iron shelf brackets. I have bought and used several sets and am very happy how they turned out. Very sturdy, too.The only 2 things I am not fond of is that the mounting and shelf surfaces are not actually flat and that the positions of the mounting holes actually varies from piece to piece. The first issue means you can't assume that you get a perpendicular bracket if you simply use screws to mount it to the wall or shelf. If you _need_ perpendicular brackets, you have to shim underneath or sand/grind the mounting surfaces flat. There is a mould seam and casting draft allowance that prevents that surface from being flat.Similarly, because these seem to be cast from a number of slightly different patterns and moulds, the positions of the mounting holes is different on each bracket, sometimes different enough to prevent pilot holes marked using one bracket as a template from lining up when attaching a different bracket. This can prevent you from being able to use all three screws or prevents the screw head from sitting properly in the countersink provided.Neither of these issues was a big deal for me, but just something to note if one is expecting a precision bracket or if you are drilling a lot of pilot holes based on one bracket as a template.

Decorative brackets are very hard to find in this size . The purchased items are perfect for what was intended and the price was the final motivator . Thanks for making my wife happy !!

This worked out pretty well for my little project, very sturdy and I loved the aged gold color.
