A Rare Gem
This story is so rare and timeless. It has the feel of a lazy summer day from childhood. Not today's typical childhood with tablets and social media but long ago childhood when you went outside and created a word of fun with only a garden hose and some dirt. We follow twig into her backyard and into her imagination-- a place full of unexpected adventure and simple delight-- and recall what wonder exists in a child's mind if it is given the opportunity to roam free of media and modern trappings. If your child has grown accustomed to fast paced action, violence, adrenaline, poop humor, explosions and nightmare evoking villains this book is not for them. If however you are looking for something to touch your child's soul don't miss this book.

Beloved by my 8 year old
I am so glad I stumbled upon this book on Amazon. It was among about 10 books I bought my 8 year old for Christmas this year. It was one of the first she chose to read, and she could not put it down. She loved the story. I don't know the story, but she kept telling my about Elf, and Twig, and the fairy, and she just seemed to adore it. She has a big imagination, and this seemed like the perfect book for her. I'm putting it on a list of books to get her friends as gifts. I doubt any of them have this little treasure, and I hope more girls discover it!
