Have both chocolate kinds and really not impressed with this expensive mix. Maybe I need to make my coco the old fashioned way. The best thing about this mix is the container.

Moonstruck Dark Chocolate Bar is deeply chocolaty and melts seductively in your mouth. It is one of the best dark chocolates I've ever encountered in this lifetime. What I like about it is that there is no acidic taste like you get with some dark chocolates. Instead it almost has a more milk chocolate flavor. The ingredients include: Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanilla. If you love chocolate you owe it to yourself to try this bar. It is sure to impress.~The Rebecca Review

A solid midrange snacking bar-Moonstruck dark chocolate is an American version of dark- not quite as high a cocoa content as a really good bar of European or American specialty or artisan dark chocolate at 68%, and it does contain soy lecithin (creates a smooth mouth feel and works as an emulsifier) and a fair amount of sugar.Flavor- a bit of a bright fruit flavor/acidity, very chocolate, slight bitterness- less than you'd expect with a dark chocolate, sweet- not as sweet as Cadbury dark chocolate but sweeter than most semi-sweets. Vanilla rather than vanillin or the more mysterious "Natural and artificial flavors" to enhance the chocolate flavor.Snap- fantastic. Clear, audible,Appearance- dark and glossy. It's beautiful.Scent- reminds me a lot of chocolate chips. Nothing really stands out but a clear chocolate scent.Mouth feel- Smooth. It melts like a bar with a higher cocoa content and I think that's because of the amount of sugar vs. cocoa butter in this bar.The bar is scored for small pieces and a larger piece with a logo imprint. It's really pretty. It does not snap easily on score lines.It's a decent bar, and one that I like for cooking. For serious chocolate snacking, I prefer a darker, less sweet bar.

I really love Moonstruck dark and always keep a few bars on hand so I can break off a square and enjoy the smooth rich taste. I regularly buy it at the grocery store but would buy it here with subscribe and save if only it were available.I am a dark chocolate lover and have tried dozens of varieties over the years. This one ranks firmly in my top-4 all-time favorites. To me, the taste is perfect, not too sweet and not too bitter, and the aftertaste is also superb.

One of two reasons why I like chocolate. I get this one shipped to me in bulk from Oregon because the other one is in Switzerland. Sometimes I find myself eating a bar a day. This is some good stuff.
