Cat Litter Locker Pail II

The Litter Locker II is without a doubt the best litter disposal container I have used. When I got my first cat six years ago I happened to purchase the Litter Locker II as my disposal system; probably due to positive reviews on Amazon, but maybe just by luck??That pail lasted me maybe 3 years until I got to the point where I thought it was just really gross (mishaps happen and used litter and feces got inside the container, not to mention the scoop holder!). There was nothing wrong with it, but this moron, thinking all litter disposal systems were created equal, decided against washing and purchased a new one from another brand. I quickly realized how wrong I was. That system, while looking sleek and fancy, was terrible. It was such a hassle to pull out the "blocker" mechanism. I had to shimmy it out every time.Also, because I have two litter boxes at opposite ends of my apartment, I have to pick up the disposal system and carry it to the secondary litter box. This was no problem with the Litter Locker II, but with this "other" disposal system, there was only a little button holding the top to the bottom, and it frequently separated, even with careful carrying from the bottom, resulting in more than one gross mess on my carpeted floor. The Litter Locker II has a tabbed system of locking the top to the bottom, and although I had to carry from the bottom due to the weight when full, it never came apart without me intending to pull it apart to empty it. I quickly decided that system wasn't working for me and tried to find the Litter Locker II, but by this time, it was extremely hard to find a Litter Locker II. I tried chain pet stores, the "mega" discount retail stores (Walmart, Kohl's, Target), and the Litter Locker Website. None of these stores had any available. Amazon was the only place that did have them, but they were available through 3rd party sellers for obscene prices. So I tried another brand of litter disposal system and unfortunately came up against similar negative features like the flimsy locking system so after a while of just "dealing" with it, I tried to find the Litter Locker II again.I finally found one for about 3 times the price I paid for the first one (including shipping) so I purchased it. That one lasted about two years before the springs for the blocking mechanism broke and made the system hard to use - without the blocker, the scent isn't as "locked in" as one would like, and plus, the blocker didn't snap back into place and it stuck out, which was a problem for where it was stored. Fortunately, this time when I looked for another Litter Locker II, I found this one, for a reasonable price, even with shipping from the UK.It took a while to arrive, and I'm not going to lie, the packaging scared me a bit when it arrived (the flimsiest cardboard wrapped in a half inch of plastic wrap looking like a giant moth in a cocoon) but the Litter Locker II inside was just fine. I am contemplating getting a spare one right now while they are available and the pricing is reasonable in case that isn't the case when I need a new one.Some people complain about the pricing on the bag refills. They do run about $5/per, but each one lasts about 5 weeks for me in a two cat home, and I don't think it's that bad, not for the convenience anyway. I'd definitely recommend the Litter Locker II to anyone with cats; I just wish they were more easily available here in the US.

incredibly helpful and easy to use. it fits 13 gallon trash bags so I just use those for about two weeks until full then just put another one in. you do need to keep the ring of plastic that holds the name brand bag sleeve and then put the top of the trash bag in that ring. overall great product. I have 1 cat and it’s full in about 2 weeks.

got the first one 5 years ago... have one with each cat box. Great product... hard to find this brand now that the cheap knockoffs are flooding the market.

These systems are very convenient and keeps odors at bay (although haven't tried other brands) - keep next to litter boxes for our 4 vermin)Apparently this particular brand is no longer available in the US (locked out by the Litter Genie cartel ?), although the DRM'd bags are still readily available and much cheaper in bulk (albeit still expensive for what they are). Have a 2nd pail in another part of the house, so made sense to get a 2nd pail from overseas supply.

Pricey but worth it

I have 2 systems, the other the Litter Genie. I prefer this, altho there are many similarities. When changing the refills, it is less messy; there is a little "handle" in the back that you lift to get the plastic rim off. With the Litter Genie, you need to lift the rim from the inner circle where the waste goes into. Rather messy and not terribly hygienic. I also prefer the way this opens to access the disposal bag; it is more sturdy than little button. Since it looks like it will be hard to get, I need to stock up on refills.

I've had this for a few years and love it. It works to keep the odor out, and is easy to use. I bought this one over the Litter Genie because I can use Diaper Genie bags, which are much cheaper than the Litter Genie bags.

I have been waiting for this to arrive and was pleased that it was delivered promptly. Can't wait to give it a fair try and see if it lives up to the promised benefits. I'll up date on that later. Just finished putting it together though, and was very disappointed to find that the handle on the front is broken off on one side. I am afraid that pulling the tray out with only one end of the handle attached will put too much strain on that end and very shortly I will have a handle completely broken off.

I already have one...I bought this for a friend because when she was cat-sitting for me, she really liked my litter locker. To thank her for taking care of my cats, I bought her a litter locker for her very own! It makes cleaning the litter really easy and it holds the smell in!!!

My cat became an indoor boy back in August and I was really worried about the smell of the litter tray and having to make multiple trips to the bins outside every day - quite annoying as we are living in an apartment. I came across this product and thought I’d give it a go and it’s got to be one of the best things I’ve ever brought! It locks in ALL odor - I’m emptying about every 2 weeks as the bag seems to be able to hold so much (we do occasionally flush so other people may find they’re emptying more often). I was so impressed with this product that I also made my mom buy one - she is also super impressed and it’s made her life so much easier.When you first unpack it all it does look a little confusing but it’s so easy to fix together and the bag is super easy to get out and use - all quite self explanatory. My mom also recommended the slightly cheaper refill bags, said they do exactly the same job as the branded ones so I’ll be trying them out at some point too. I highly recommend to anybody with indoor cats

Al recibirlo no podía abrir la parte superior y flipaba para encontrar la manera de su uso correcto,después de 3 mtos ya pude abrir y a partir de ahí todo es muy fácil.No lo he usado, está preparado para ponerlo y usarlo inmediatamente,y tardaré en estrenarlo porque compré 20.000 bolsitas para este neceser hace un par de años y me quedarán más de 18.000 aún,además me resulta cómodo y rápido por la experiencia que tengo haciéndolo.He comprado éste artículo porque lo vi a un precio muy cercano a los 90€ y al verlo por poquito menos de 24€ lo he comprado,también pedí 2 recambios de bolsa a 9€ cada rollito, pero pude anular el pedido a tiempo porque poco después vi y compré 4 recambios por 19,90€,y aún hay más opciones que parecen más económicas aún,pero hasta que vuelva a pedir recambios de bolsa van a pasar calculo que 7 u 8 años por lo menos y sin exagerar.Esta muy bien pensado éste artículo hasta el punto de evitar olores,es un sistema muy sencillo y muy efectivo,y es cosa difícil tratándose de cacas y pipis de gatos,muy difícil no oler nada.

En appartement, cette petite poubelle est indispensable. Le plastique est bien fini et semble assez résistant. Cette poubelle supprime réellement les odeurs comparé à une simple poche poubelle, par un simple système de tiroir qui vient bloquer la poche de la recharge. La recharge est facile à mettre en place, il faut faire un noeud, puis tirer la poche bleue jusqu'au fond de la poubelle, et puis c'est parti. Je pourrais lui reprocher son aspect qui n'est pas très esthétique, et l'ouverture qui est un peu trop petite : il arrive que l'on en mette à côté, d'autant plus que la pelle fournie est très bien, mais trop grande proportionnellement à l'ouverture de la poubelle. Le socle pour la pelle est également très pratique. Lorsque la poubelle est pleine, il faut couper la poche bleue translucide de la recharge en glissant la poche dans la partie en plastique où il est écrit "cutter". Attention à couper suffisamment long pour pouvoir faire un noeud correctement, j'ai fait l'erreur la première fois et je n'ai pas pu la fermer correctement. Le schéma explicatif fourni est facile à comprendre. Les recharges devraient durer longtemps, je me les procure via le vendeur Onogo Fr qui propose les meilleurs tarifs ainsi que la livraison gratuite, moins rapide que via Amazon, mais en une semaine j'ai reçu le lot de deux recharges.Faite attention en la recevant car il peut arriver que la recharge soit manquante.Bon rapport qualité prix, comme la recharge est fournie et qu'une recharge coûte entre 7 et 8 euros, si on déduit le prix de la poubelle, ce n'est pas trop cher.J'espère que ce commentaire vous aura été utile ! 🙂

Ho acquistato il litterlocker II con non poco scetticismo in quanto non credevo che intrappolasse davvero gli odori invece mi sono dovuto ricredere fa davvero ciò che promette ed è davvero indispensabile per la pulizia della lettiera.la confezione si presenta molto semplice il prodotto arriva imballato in un sacchetto di plastica trasparente.una volta tolto dal sacchetto aprendo lo sportello superiore sono presenti le istruzioni di montaggio.il montaggio è davvero molto semplice basta rimuovere il coperchio estrarre la cartuccia con i sacchetti e rimuovere l'involucro protettivo della cartuccia, sfilare il sacchetto ( si perché si tratta di un rotolo unico ) e fare un nodo all'inizio del sacchetto riposizionare la cartuccia nel contenitore tirare la leva nella parte alta del contenitore e allungare il sacchetto sino alla fine del contenitore rilasciare la leva e il litterlocker II è pronto per essere utilizzato.Ogni volta che si vuole pulire la lettiera del gatto basta alzare il coperchio e gettare gli escrementi nella parte alta del contenitore una volta che questo sarà pieno basterà tirare la leva e gli escrementi andranno a finire direttamente nella parte bassa del contenitore.quando il sacchetto è colmo basta far passare il sacchetto nel cutter presente nel raccoglitore ( è una semplice sporgenza appuntita di plastica ) così da tagliare il sacchetto, fatto questo basterà fare un altro nodo sul sacchetto e gettarlo nei rifiuti.Per aggiungere un altro sacchetto basta eseguire lo stesso procedimento usato all'inizio.In conclusione posso ritenermi estremamente soddisfatto del prodotto visto che evita di avere palette e sacchetti in giro per casa ma cosa molto importante non rilascia cattivi odori li intrappola davvero all'interno del contenitore.
