The MCY USB-C 8 port Docking Station comes in a small white box package in formed foam and looks very professional. This minimized unit has only 1 attached USB-C 3.1 data cable that is about 6.5”(17cm) long and the attached metal unit measures 4”(10cm)X2.5”(6cm)x.6”(1.5cm) and looks solid and nicely made.I attached this unit to a newer 13” Apple M1 MacBookPro using the USB-C cable attached to the unit and it was recognized by my macOS Monterey immediately. I plugged in my Apple Supplied USB-C Power cable and the laptop starting charging within a minute . I tested the 3x USB 3.0 ports with quick response and with no issues. The LAN port was connected to my network and the speeds were very good. I also tested my 4K 32” Curved Monitor which was immediately recognized. I did notice that my laptop is showing the display is only refreshing at 30MHz (60 being normal I believe). I tested a YouTube video and a NAS-Based 1080p Movie but did not notice any flicker or degraded video, so I am happy with the display connection. The unit does not get hot and is only very slightly warm with my use.This is a solid portable docking station and with a price at $30USD, is a great investment for anyone needing a small, well made docking station.I only tested this on this MacBookPro so Windows testing would need to be done for those that want to use that OS.My only constructive comment to the seller is that it would be nice to see the USB-C 3.1 data cable to be longer and able to detach from the docking station for easier storage and better placement.I am being compensated for this review, however my review is honest and if I personally did not like the unit I would not take the compensation and return the unit to Amazon; I will be keeping this unit.

While the size is perfect for what I needed, it lacks power, think bandwidth, to run more than one device. The HDMI cable I plugged in would not run the monitor. A wireless more and keyboard were so leggy I couldn't use them. Had to plug directly to laptop. Sorry, but that's the whole point for getting a docking station.

OVERVIEWThis product has a very nice look and feel. It’s not too light has metal housing, it does have a plastic port bezel but that really doesn’t take away from the build. As I said before this is my second purchase from this brand. I bought a similar product with a slimmer build which excludes the 4K and Ethernet jack, and it has worked great. Because it was not 4K it would not work with my ultra wide monitor. This newer one though works just great for ultrawide and for 4K. I am using this with a windows machine at work and have one here at home for my wife’s MacBook Air.PROS-Build Quality-Connectivity-Compatibility (it seems to just work)CONS-Color doesn’t match space gray-Port layout is messy for cable management (power should be located on the end with HDMI or with main usb bank) With everything plugged in you have wires coming out of all sides so it takes up some desk space just doesn’t look clean.I can’t think of any dealbreakers with this one, so really the color and layout could be better but the thing works. Oh it has nice packaging seems premium. I really hope to see them step up and beat out Anker with quality and price!! I normally only review products that I have trouble with and I tend to be critical in my evaluation but this is one of the few times that I feel the quality and value are above and beyond what I expect to find. The media could not be loaded.  This is a very useful USB-C dock and worth the price. I have been looking for a decent affordable dock and this one checked all the boxes. There are 3 USB 3.0 slots, 1 HDMI slot, 1 Ethernet slot, 1 USB-C extra slot, 1 SD slot, and 1 TF slot. That’s as much slots as I need for whenever I’ll be using it. It is very useful for devices such as iPads or the new MacBooks that only have USB-C slots. It also has a green light when you plug it in so you know it’s working. This is totally worth it I highly recommend!

My expensive HP G2 dock was flaking out like crazy. Replaced it with this small inexpensive hub and I am absolutely pleased. It has worked perfectly since the first time I plugged it in. Ethernet, Microsoft USB keyboard mouse combo, 32" 4K HP monitor, all working perfectly. I'm a work at home software engineer running my setup through this hub 10 hours a day and it's been perfect from the first day. Hope it lasts a long time.

This dock does everything! I'm running 3 USB devices, ethernet, and HDMI through one box. It still has an SD card reader, micro SD card reader, and a USB C port that I'm not using yet! I frequently take my laptop with me when I travel. This hub makes reconnecting everything at home a breeze! I haven't had any problems at all with the unit, even while charging multiple devices from it at once. The case feels like aluminum, and blends in well with my desk setup. If you're looking for a docking station, I wouldn't hesitate to pick this one up.

Does what it says it does! I have no complaints. One oddity if you use a USB extension cable (make sure you get one capable of usb 3.1) sometimes it seems to matter which way you plug them into each other, but once you figure that out it's not an issue.

I have one of the newer dell laptops that only has lightning ports—no USB’s, HDMI, ethernet, etc. This dock did its job in providing me with all that I needed. It does provide a warning notification that your device might need more power, but I believe that’s only if you’re running a ton of other devices off of it, e.g. using all USB ports, the HDMI, lightning, ethernet, etc. I use an HDMI, 2 USB’s without any issues. So far so good!

Despite the lights coming on, the LAN connection didn't work to begin with. It then suddenly starting working, but a couple of hours later I lost my internet connection again and couldn't restore it. When I plugged my old hub in (which has a faulty USB port), my internet connection was restored straight away. Annoying, as I managed to damage an ethernet cable through repeated plugging & unplugging. My search for a hub that actually works continues...

Me encanta lo pequeño que es, no ocupa ni molesta en absoluto.Cumple por completo con lo que promete y mas, la conectividad que ofrece es rapidísima, tanto la ethernet como la usb. Y no pierde nada de calidad en el hdmi. Repetiría seguro.
