Q: can you use these in a regular hand drill?

Absolutely, I use them with my cordless Rigid regularly. Just remember that when using ng them with a drill, control can be a bit tricky. So be careful so that you don't, mar your work or remove more material than intended.

Q: can this be used with a Dremmel or similar rotory tool ?

Shaft is TOO LARGE for dremmel and similar rotory tools. would most likely work in most routers and any 1/4 " drills.

Q: Can this be used on ceramics/pottery to remove excess glaze after it has been kiln fired? If sp, do you need to use water while grinding? Thanks

It's possible these burrs could be used for that purpose, however they are rough and could cause cracking of the very brittle ceramic and glaze. I would suggest a silicon carbide fine grinding stone instead, and these are considerably less expensive then these carbide burrs. The grinding stones come in a variety of different shapes and sizes and come on smaller 1/8" mandrels that are idea for smaller Dremel type grinders.
