I just bought another one of these and now have one in all three cars. The video quality is great, and power cable is nice and long (I think over 12') to allow it to be run from 12V outlet under passenger side of dash and up A-pillar and along front of headliner and down to unit. No worries about having a 6' cable that can only be run straight up to unit due to length, I'd rather have it tucked away as neatly as I can.This unit is also nice and lightweight and the suction cup to windshield is great -- I've used this model in the other two cars for almost two years and the only time the units have fallen off was when it was high 90s temps outside and windows closed so interior was very hot inside. I'm afraid other units that are heavier would disconnect from the windshield more easily,I would not hesitate to buy one of these again and highly recommend.

Bought it Sep 26th, sent on Sep 29th. "RETURN WINDOW CLOSED OCT 29th! 1 MONTH Later" It's now Dec 16th and it is not working right anymore. Not showing MPH from the GPS plug in and also consistently shutting off after about 5-10 minutes of use. They obviously sent me a repaired one that has a defect hence the cheap price of it. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET ONE WITHOUT INSURANCE BECAUSE NOW I'M SCREWED OUT OF $66.00 Thanks a lot. Now I have to purchase another car camera all over again this time making sure I get insurance so this doesn't happen again.

I just purchase a Dextros x7 camera as a trial. I installed it and set the date and time . It showed that it was recording but when I tried to view the files they would not play. I plugged the camera into the USB of a computer. The camera says usb connecting. The files show up as dated files like they should, but when I try to play them it says “Can’t play. This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt. Error code 0xc10100bf” I am running windows 10 and I don’t have any problems with other mp4 files. I have also tried viewing them on the camera itself. The files won’t show up on the camera as dated files, instead it shows groups of files with invalid across them. The pictures stored in jpeg seem to work fine. I have recorded video with and without the GPS attached. I have downloaded Dexorsplayer and it also reconizes the files but when I try to open them it faults out. In the manual it says to format the sd card. The card is the one that came with the camera so I’m sure it was formatted to work with this camera.I have since reformatted the card with a full format. It capture two files and I was able to view them with window 10. It then went back to the exact problem it was having before. Its useless in the condition it is now. I have tried to contact customer support and its been three days now. I have not received a reply.

First of all, I have returned this item within few hours of receiving it, so can’t say anything about its performance. I have bought it based on review, which was bad idea.- Item seems to be used or at least previously opened: suction cup has marks, cables and rest of parts in the box are not seated properly, and someone dropped few hairs in to the box, kinda gross.- Camera itself looks and feels really cheap and it was not working right out of box: after inserting card and connecting to the power, camera was beeping with screen staying black, no access to menu at all, so it is not just card malfunction.Returned it for full refund and will look for something else, remember “you get what you pay for”.

Been using this dash camera since March 4th. Set up was easy but on March 16th it stopped working. It wouldn't record or power on. Had to unplug it and plug it back in. It would charge and then shut off. It's like it didn't recognize the memory card. Settings were on loop 5 mins as they've been on from the beginning. It's managed to loop recordings from 2 weeks just fine. Reformatted the provided memory card to see if that changes anything. If not I'll be sending it back.

Don't bother with this crap. Battery wouldn't last a few hours especially over night when your car isn't running. So basically, good luck parking your car at night and if someone back up into your car, it won't record because battery is dead.

This camera lasted for about 10 months, then quit. It was good while it lasted

Super clear and very sturdy . Just wished it looped longer then 5 minutes .
