Ever since I saw Bill Murray in the movie "Lost in Translation" I knew I had to visit the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Like Times Square meets Blade Runner, Shibuya is a fantastic place to watch the world go by-and millions do every day in every direction. Despite the overwelming denisty of all things man-made, the neighborhood manages to be incredibly civil and is filled with millions of small details. Looking down on a part of it from our Air B-n-B, I tried to capture a thin slice of the architecturial diversity of one of the largest cities in the world.
