Hardwearing and waterproof with stylish cut. Recommended.
I bought these as I had accidentally ordered the wrong size of the Norwand Pro Pants and the Silence Proshell 2.0 direct from Revolution Race. The turnaround of returns meant I had to get these RVRC GP trousers via Amazon Prime to have something to take abroad with me - but I am so glad I did.I've just got back from a week of van camping around Iceland in winter which served as a great test of the RVRC GP's features. I wore these trousers with a pair of thermals underneath for 7 days except when sleeping, the lowest temperature was -16.Whether hiking through deep snow, scrambling over glaciers or being stood in high winds these did the job without hesitation. I remained dry and warm throughout and enjoyed how hard-wearing the fabric is but with enough stretch in key areas to enable kneeling, climbing - also sitting in cafes sipping coffee. I was never caught in rain - but heavy snow and the odd slip into a fjord dried off very quickly. I like the elasticated hem on the legs which I could pull down over my boots - it kept out 95% of snow. Next time i'll wear gaiters but i'd do that regardless.Thigh pockets are a good size for a beanie or pair of winter gloves and the variety of colours makes this brand stand out or contrast well with your other layers.I was quite skeptical of the RVRC seemingly insta-savvy, flashy marketing and have usually owned Montane or other 'traditional' outdoor brands. I have been very pleasantly surprised and look forward to my other pairs arriving in due course to try out around the UK. Well worth the money in my opinion!By the way you can google 10% off to use on the RVRC website (this is what I did) and they've since emailed out 25% off for valentine's so worth shopping around as the colour ways on Amazon are a little limited. Hope this helps :)

Great!
I've been buying various bike and back packing clothing for a while now. I've tried cotton combats, wool... cheap stuff and choked at the cost of fjàllraven stuff although if I had the money I'd love to try a pair. These were about 20quid over my budget but I was sick to death of trousers not fitting properly or restricting movement.I was very very happy with these. When you bend over there is no builders bum... No where near. You can stretch, squat and kneel easily without any restriction... And if your biking or back packing this is exactly what you are going to be doing. The reinforced bits seem really heavy duty and the rest are very comfortable. The crotch area seems to be made of silk... It's not... but its sooo soft and stretchy. It's very comfortable on long walks and keeps those areas free from chafing and heat. If I'm honest I'm scared this won't last as it feels so thin but I'm hoping. I completed a walk in Buxton a few weeks ago and was caught in cold gusts and rain. They trousers are very good and keeping wind out and seemed to shed water quite well. It was really rainy and windy but never once did my legs feel cold or wet. The trousers are a little on the expensive side for my liking and if they were 10quid cheaper I'm sure they would sell a lot more. Anyway... If you can stump up for the price they do appear worth it, if not only for the way they fit and feel.

Slightly disappointed
The overall fit of these are quite good. They do however feel quite chunky on. They feel very much like work pants and aren’t very comfortable. They are somewhat waterproof, not completely. I do like the Velcro adjustable cuffs at the bottom of the pants, nice feature. Overall, not what I was expecting from a very hyped brand of walking pants. Have had better walking trousers for less money.

Not the cheapest, but I love the fit of these.
Nice materials, and great fit for walking and working in. Very comfortable to wear. So much so they are probably my favourite.

Good but not great
I am 185cm tall which is 6 foot 1. I weigh 105kg which is about 16 stones. I have an athletic build and I chose Large based upon reviews I read. They fit. They stretch a little but they're tight in the thighs. Quite tight around the ankles and impossible to get over boots or trainers.Whilst the velcro closures around the ankles are nice, I cannot see myself ever using them because they're already tight. The zips are good. The main button is metal and similar to that of standard jeans. The colours are strong with an attractive colour scheme.Belt loops are of good strength having saved me from going head first into a lake while helping my dog out of the water. My wife used the big central loop to pull me back and it held.Would I spend the same amount for the same trousers? Probably not, I'd say they're £10 too expensive for what they are. Berghaus or north face trousers are better quality and fit in my opinion so it's a 3 out of 5 from me.

Holding up well *Long(ish) term review*
Packaging:Well packaged without excess waste.First impressions:Nice feel to these trousers. No real rough areas to note. Stitching looks good with no scraggly strands you seem to get with most clothing these days. I’ve used these for hiking and fishing without issues. Holding up well.PROS:• Good quality feel.• Nice fit to these. Not baggy and the material in the package area make these comfortable to wear for long periods of time.• Durability seems good so far.CONS:• A bit on the pricey side but worth it in my opinion.Summary:These really are good quality trousers. Very comfortable.Would I recommend the product:That’s a yes.

Just what i was hoping for
Im 5'7" 155lbs, i ordered the small size. Better quality than i expected and fit is spot on for me. Perfect length, waist is in that magic spot where no belt is needed, i wear a 32/30 US. Super comfy! I plan to use these for metal detecting with knee pad inserts since i rest my knees on the ground quite a bit. I dig em so much i ordered another pair in forest green right after i tried em on. Might just collect em all!

Better than Vidda Pro?
So I ordered a pair of Vidda Pros, a pair of Helikon Pilgrims, and a pair of these. These were supposed to be the wild card. I was pretty sure It was going to be between the Pilgrim and the Vidda Pro, but I wanted a third just to see. I liked the Helikon pants alot but they were a little baggy. So then it was between these and Fjallraven. The Viddas felt good, a little restrictive, and a little baggy at the same time, but I liked them. Then I tried these on. I really didn't want to take them off. They seemed really long at first but once I put boots on and cinched them over, it didn't matter what I did, they were not coming off my boots. The fit is snug compared to the other pants I tried but not tight, I can still fit my wool leggings under. They are very tight at the cuff to my boot, but that will just keep bugs, sand, snow, whatever out. There are a few loose threads here and there, but the stitching is pretty spot on for the most part. I wanted to love the Fjallravens but these just ticked every box and then some. And they are 50% cheaper. Love these pants! ALOT! I would call them a three season pant for sure. I kayaked in them all day in 80 plus degrees with humidity and I got a little warm but not too bad. The stayed pretty dry too, even in a sit on top kayak.
