Great Combination
I bought this combo about a month ago along with two new SSDs and a new case. I was able to scavenge a PSU, three HDDs and a DVD drive from my old computer and DDR4 3200 memory my son had. This wasn’t my first build, but watching a couple YouTube videos helped to make sure I didn’t miss something. Everything worked great the first time I started it up. The only issue I have had is that I wanted to set up a RAID 1 with the two SSDs, but ASUS’s instructions didn’t match what I was seeing on my screen. I called them a couple times and exchanged e-mails with their support staff, but they were never able to resolve the issue and stopped contacting me. Fortunately, I was able to set up the RAID 1 with Intel Optane software. I’m not sure if it will make a difference in the long run, but my preference would have been a BIOS RAID. The BIOS screen is very user friendly, and I was able to easily increase the memory speed to it’s full rating with just a couple clicks. I’m using the onboard graphics that you get with the 12700K processor, and it works fine for me, but I’m not a gamer.

Really happy with purchase
Just helped my son build an I-9 on the Z590 version of this board. I can't tell a lick of difference with the speeds of the 2 chips but I paid less for a newer board. Already came with newest bios installed which I liked. Only problem was using 2 m2 drives in raid with another regular SSD installed. I didn't see any drives until loading latest VRM driver's for the newer generation of chips. After installing them saw all my drives with Raid enabled. My 1st time running raid with Asus board. Really happy with the upgrade and running 4th gen M2 drives in Raid makes a snappy PC!

i7-12700K + ASUS Prime = Exactly what you need
Im so happy with this cpu. It seems twice as fast as everything before it. The motherboard is pricey, but it has a lot of good features if you want to plug in a lot of fast devices, i.e. USB-C, USB 3.0, several NVMe SSDs, and the board has those heat sinks included. The LED lights on the board are unimpressive though, so don't expect those to wow you. They'll be completely outshined by any LED fans you put in. Make sure you check your prices out of bundle, but when I purchased this it was a $50 savings from buying separately.

Get the DDR5 version
I'm kicking myself for getting this outdated ddr4 version to save a few dollars. Plus you'll save about $100 if you buy the processor and motherboard separately. That should cover the extra bit to upgrade to ddr5 ram. It's as cheap as ddr4 dang it. Do the damn ting!
