Used 4 of these on a show where I needed to send the SDI to two different places. No issues over 3 days of use.

I rarely write reviews, but my interactions with J-Tech Digital deserve special recognition. I ordered 3 of these units based on 1) functionality, 2) form factor, and 3) price (the least important factor). The items that I received did not match the form factor shown in the Amazon listing, and were too large to fit in the space available in my application. I emailed J-Tech about it and received a reply very quickly, and a resolution to my predicament shortly thereafter. They quickly shipped out 3 of the units that had the size listed, and sent me a pre-paid return shipping label to send back the original items.The fact that the original items didn't match the description in the listing is certainly a demerit and may rightfully be viewed as an oversight by the company, but it isn't an uncommon thing for this type of product from other sources as I've sadly found out of late. But the speed and professionalism of the customer service to remedy the issue has been nothing but superb. Yes, the item didn't match the description, but people (including me and everyone reading this) make mistakes despite the best of intentions. It's how the mistakes are handled that separates the good from the bad and I am here to tell you, the J-Tech people are good.

Works great. I'm using it as an SDI amplifier/reclocker at the receiving end of a 300' run of RG59 cable.At 1080i, I just couldn't quite get a stable signal with the 300 foot run that I needed in order to reach a classroom. But while fooling around with various pieces of gear in my parts bin, I discovered that if I put this splitter at the far end of the run, it cleans up the signal and I get perfect image on the TV at the far end. Without this, I didn't know how I was going to get video to the classroom, as the UTP balun I tried just failed completely.So I give this 5 stars for saving my hind end.

If I was only going to work at 1080p30 and below, I would find these to be just fine. Since I'm pushing the limits of the units, I chose to return them.I rush-ordered ten of these splitters to support a live-stream event in which my team was, essentially, building a video production truck from pieces in an office setting. My layout depended on using these to split multiple sources for the live-stream switcher and a second switcher dedicated to sending video back to set for down-stage monitors and on-set monitors seen by camera and talent. While, they handled the signals from six laptops providing graphics to the switcher, the splitters serving the on-set monitors were intermittently dropping signal, causing flicker in the monitors - completely unacceptable for this mission critical project for a huge corporate client. I overcame the problem by down-rezing our feeds to set from 1080p60 to 1080p30. The J-Tech splitters did fine under those circumstance and worked perfectly from then on.
