Lovable Dogs Coloring Book (Design Originals) 32 Cute Pups from Great Danes and Pit Bulls to Scottish Terriers and Chihuahuas, with Inspiring Quotes and Finished Examples on Thick, Perforated Paper

The media could not be loaded. This is a coloring book with 32 Dog designs by Brenda Abdoyan. Each of the designs are titled by the dog(s) name. This book, along with her newly released “Funky Cats” are the first coloring books I have by this artist. In “Lovable Dogs”, the designs are almost realistic but still have enough doodles and other bits of odds and ends added to make coloring a fun experience. The dogs all have that slightly woe-be-gone look that tugs at my heart-strings.I chose “Roxy” as my first project as it reminded me of my sweet Cleo dog from when I was a little girl. I used a mix of alcohol and water-based markers to give a deep color to the project.The book is published by Design Originals. As usual with their books, there are a couple of pages dedicated to comments by the artist, colored examples of some of the projects in the book, and finally, journal lines and quotes on the back of the page. In this case, the artist pages are more limited but discuss medium and color choices. There are a number of colored examples and the quotes are all dog-related. As with “Funky Cats” there are a couple of illustrated dogs on the back cover and the inside flap that do not appear in the designs in this book. My softer lead pencils go on with good color and coverage and they layer and blend well. My hard lead pencils go on with good color but as typical with Design Originals books, they leave dents on the back of the page.

This is my second copy. I loved the book so much that I showed it to a friend who is also a dog lover. I shouldn't have told her she could have the poodle and a couple more if she liked. Well, I get home and discover she took some of my favorites. Next time I show someone a good coloring book, I'm not offering any pages - they can buy their own copy!

This book is great. The images are very fun and cute. Some of the pages have a little more detail and some less. I like that the designs are on one sided paper and the paper is pretty good quality and perforated. There are quotes on the backs of the pages. I also like that there are colored examples of some of the images in the book. I also have the cat book by this same author and like it equally as well.

Oh my gosh. Love this so much. So extremely well done. I have about 70 adult coloring books and this is #1. I am a crazy dog lady, but it's not just that. It is the composition of each picture that has my heart. Beautiful lines and designs.....not teeny, tiny shapes that are hard to color. Just perfect. Best money ever spent on a coloring book. I am not as crazy about cats, but getting her cat one for the sheer enjoyment of coloring her art. Brenda....I sure hope there are many more in the making ❤❤❤

Part of the group of these coloring books I bought for some friends' grandchildren. I used to do a lot of Doodle Art, and it is a lot of fun. Thinking about getting some for myself, good way to pass the time quietly when you just want to do something creative and stress free. These look really well made and I think the girls will like them. Bought some nice colored pencils and gel pens to use with these. Their grandma is a vet and owns a farm, so most I have chosen have to do with animals.

I love dogs and this book has lots of personality just like dogs do. There are great examples of how you can color them with different types of pencils and markers. I like the thicker lines in the drawings and the artist did a great job with not only the dogs but the background designs. A lot of the other books out there look alike and more computer generated and tedious. This one is fun and relaxing. I would highly recommend it.

The dogs in this are really adorable and the says that go with each one are great! I bought this for a family member who had recently lost a long time companion dog to help in her healing process and she loved it ! I think it really did the trick for her, she picked it up and hasn't put it down.

i love this book! The drawings are just wonderful, so expressive and fun. Every page is adorable. Only possible complaint is no German Shepherds or Golden Retrievers. Hoping for Volume II.

Great for killing time and keeping mind active

I bought this as a gift and i'm so glad i did! this is a beautifully designed book, every page is unique and great quality. I have quite a collection of colouring books and this one really stands out, it's one of the nicest i've seen! I especially like the colourful examples on the first few pages and the lovely touch of quotes throughout. Absolutely worth buying!
