I'm never buying fabric softener or dryer sheets again!
I've never used anything but fabric softener or dryer sheets but was keen to stop throwing money away on either product. Each wool ball is a bit smaller than a tennis ball but super lightweight since it's literally just a ball of wool. The day these arrived, I had just finished drying a load of clothes with regular fabric sheets & had a load in the washer. When the next load was ready for the dryer, all 8 of these balls went in (everything I read online said toss them all in, not just one or two. The packaging didn't specify how to use them). Both loads were regular clothes: jeans, socks, shirts, that sort of stuff. I put the new load on top of the old load when the dryer was done (I forgot the first load entirely). I didn't get to folding everything for a while but was shocked when I did. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants that I've owned for years & was dumbfounded when I realized they weren't the buttery-soft leggings I just bought. These old, paint stained sweatpants I keep for art projects were softer than they had ever been - and softer than those brand new ultra soft leggings! Every piece of laundry felt insanely soft - even decade+ old socks were ultra soft. No static at all which is quite the feat in the winter! I knew the second I started folding the first load because NOTHING was soft & there was tons of static. I have literally NEVER had fabric softener or dryer sheets - or even the combination of the two - work so well! On everything no matter how old it was!I cannot recommend these enough. The fact that they are 100% wool and unscented (unless you add scent to them), make these perfect for me as I have very sensitive skin. They're currently $9.99 and they are easily worth that. Stop throwing money away on environmentally damaging, wallet-unfriendly chemical products with so-so results and get these! I can't recommend them enough.

Useful, but smaller/less helpful than other brands; New Zealand wool but made in China
I've been using wool dryer balls for years, and have found them to be a big plus for speeding up drying and limiting (and usually eliminating) the need for anti-static sheets. These dryer balls are less expensive than other options, plus you get a set of 8, rather than the customary 4 or 6. However, the balls themselves are not as good quality as other options. The balls in this set are smaller and less dense than I'm accustomed to. They don't do as good as a job as the larger ones on cutting down drying time and assisting in keeping larger items (such as fitted sheets) from balling up and drying unevenly. They are also far more prone to getting stuck in shirt sleeves, pant legs, etc. that larger options. The dryer balls come in a plastic pouch and have rather cute pictures of sheep printed on each one. While the wool is from New Zealand, the balls are made in China. While they are less expensive than other dryer ball options, the smaller size and lower density make them less capable performers. Three stars (average). They are a workable option if you don't want to spend a lot on wool dryer balls but, if you can spend a bit more, other options provide larger, denser balls that work better.

Made in China
Wool dryer balls absorb about 20% of their weight in water, shortening drying time. They also naturally soften laundry and reduce wrinkling. However these aren’t my favorite for a couple of reasons. First there are so many of them that they are hard to keep up with and hard to gather up again from the laundry after using. But one thing that particularly annoys me is that the Amazon listing talks again and again about the New Zealand wool in these dryer balls. They may or may not be made of New Zealand wool, but they are definitely made in China. Finally, I don’t like that they stamped little black sheep on each one. Who knows what that paint is made of. So these are nice, but I am giving them 4 stars because of my reservations mentioned above.

Love the smaller size and the adorable artwork.....
These NZ dryer balls are wonderful and they work perfectly for me in the dryer. The smaller size seems to help keep the drying process to be quicker as I guess there are more to help absorb the moisture. The artwork on the balls is adorable and they'll make a great gift for anyone at anytime. I am so impressed with these balls and they come nicely packaged in a reusable plastic bag....I also use these balls to hold essential oils. I just sprinkle a few drops on them, they absorb quickly and I can place them in a small bowl and keep them in any room of the house or in the car. There are many innovative ways to use these wool balls. Absolutely love them. Highly recommended.

Good Dryer Balls
These dryer balls are smaller than I am used to, but there are also more of them, so I think it equals out. I like that they are handmade, made from 100% New Zealand wool, and are organic. I have zero complaints!
