Merrell Q form design is perfect for me!
I have been wearing Merrell shoes for years; slides, sneakers and sandals. I bought my first pair of Merrell sandals while on vacation almost 7 years ago. I love them and still wear them. I have a chronic back problem which can cause hip and leg pain, especially when I'm walking, unless I'm wearing my Merrells. In preparation for a recent vacation in which I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking, I bought the Merrell Women's Siren Strap Q2 Athletic Sandal (to switch off from my Merrell sneakers). I walked, and walked, and walked up steep hills, many steps, and uneven cobble stone roads. I never experienced the sharp lower back and hip pain that I have had in the past with non-Merrell sneakers and sandals. The Q form design is perfect for me and my back. Oh yeah...they look good too!

cute and mostly comfy
The straps are a bit short as most reviews said. I have average ankles and they barely overlap on the velcro around the ankle. The other straps feel fine. I've taken them to Belize for a lot of walking, and they feel great but my feet started swelling a bit from the heat and so much walking and the ankle strap became super tight, barely closing. I did walk a lot in them and did not get any blisters, which is unusual for me. Merrell brand is the only one that hasn't given me blisters yet, but they are usually really good about fit, so I'm very surprised about the short straps. I try to buy from brand sties directly to make sure it's authentic but unfortunately they didn't have my size anymore. Also, I usually wear 7.5 size and can wear some summer sandals in 7. With these I ordered size 7 and there is plenty of room in the toes and heel for anybody who wears 7.5 normally

You're gonna love'm
Bought these for my wife for our recent vacation. We did a lot of walking and she needed something very comfortable that she could wear all day. Her other prerequisite was an open-concept style shoe. She does not like tennis shoes. These Merrell athletic sandals were perfect. We walked several miles a day over the course of seven days as part of a guided tour. She never got a blister or even a hot spot. Her only regret was not getting them sooner. She liked them so much, she just bought another pair.

Negative heel! :(
I've had several Merrell hiking shoes in the "Siren" line, so I had a good feeling when ordering a pair of outdoor sandals in the same line. But, while they fit well in size (I'm a 6.5 in most sandals, including these), I was surprised and sad to discover that, after I put them on and walked around, they actually have a (slightly) negative heel! My toes and the ball of my foot sat higher than my heel, which is a very UNCOMFORTABLE position for me; I need something that's at least slightly elevated at the HEEL, not the toe. (I never wear flats, either, for the same reason.)My recommendation for anyone with similar needs is to pass on these... even if, like me, you love the Siren hiking shoes, because the Siren sandals are a whole different beast!

Not the quality I’ve come to expect from Merrell
So I’m in Honduras right now and walking has made my trip rather miserable because of the blisters these sandals gave me the first day. Against my better judgment I didn’t try these shoes at home before coming down here because I’ve owned several pairs and never had this problem before. Basically, the strap that runs diagonally connects that connects to a little piece of elastic that is then attached to a really rough piece of leather on the inside of your foot. I ended up cutting the straps off as close as I could get to the sandal. The whole sandal is just made really cheap. I hope this isn’t a trend.

Excellent
I was looking for a good sandal to swim and paddleboard in, and these do not disappoint! The price was a bit higher than I'd usually spend on shoes, but after shopping around and reading reviews, I'm very glad I went with them. I ordered my usual size and have had no issues with pinching or discomfort, and I'm quite impressed with how well these grip sand and wet rocks. I wore them all last season and can't wait to do so again this year - I will probably purchase them in other colors!

Extremely Disappointed
In my past experiences with Merrel footwear, they are high quality materials making it worth paying above price point for sandals. This pair arrived and it was obvious the quality has dropped substantially. The foot support just was not there and they looked and felt like they could have been purchased at a 5 & Dime in Chinatown.

Great in the water! Lots of stability and support.
LOVE these sandals. Got them a week ago and have since been commuting in them and took them on a beach camping trip. They did great in the water/sand, have amazing traction and support, and aren't too heavy. I have narrow feet and the straps fit me well, but could see how they would be problematic for people with wider feet. 2 of the straps are adjustable, but the thinner 2 are not. I normally wear a size 9 but got the size 8 based on other Merrell's I've tried on. The fit is perfect!

So disappointing
I've had lots of pairs of Merrell sandals over the years - I keep going back as they have always been so comfortable, until now... while these fit snugly, I find the soles really uncomfortable and unpleasant to walk on - it feels like they are poking into the arches of my feet. So disappointing (to the extent that I wondered if were they counterfeit because they are so out of kilter with my experience of the brand but I can't see any evidence to suggest that's the case!).

Comfy..but not for me
I actually was close to sticking with these shoes as they are quite comfortable. But I swapped em for something much better looking to me lol. Also... I deduced that over time, the strap going over my little time would really start to aggravate me. So on that basis I sent them back and bought a different pair of Merrells. Also the velcro fastenings are a little short.. I forsee loosening if I'd bought these.

Ankle strap way too short!
The sandal feels extremely comfortable on but is too narrow for me and the ankle strap is riduculously short! It only just reaches the velcro to fasten it so the end of the strsp is on top of the arch of your foot instead of over near the inside of ankle. I notice that several people have mentioned this so am not sure why Merrell have not addressed it? They will be going back unfortunately.

Comfortable sandals
I've been a fan of Merrell sandals for some years, so bought these with high expectations. The fit is good (I have fairly narrow feet) and they are pretty comfortable. However I much prefer the soft microfibre footbed of the Terran to this "Textured EVA Integrated footbed" which feels a bit rubbery and faintly sticky.

Super comfy
Very pleased.. sized true to size for my medium feet. The straps hit so that it doesn’t hurt the bunion on my left foot and they are very light weight and comfy. I live in England and they are especially nice for rainy weather and walking on hilly terrain and on cobblestones.
