I bought one of these to film videos for my business. I just have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and it won't support the weight of the phone when trying to film overhead content on my desk. I always have to prop it up with something else, which in my opinion defeats the purpose. Definitely not satisfied.

The light that comes with this stand is super bright but does need recharging every 2 or so hours. Sitting flat on a desk this would work great as a stand meant to record a person sitting directly in front of it. But based on the description I bought it to record overhead and it is not good for this purpose. The stand comes unscrewed every time I try and adjust the camera angle and it has to be placed at just the right angle or it will tip over. Not an overhead recording stand at all.

While I was eventually able to use the overhead filming option, it was more difficult than I had hoped. The weight of my phone caused it to slip in the grips. Every time that would happen it would slide down and press the side power button and turn my phone off.This may have been an issue related to my specific phone model, but it was frustrating as I was trying to film online live demonstrations from above. The included light is helpful, but maybe not as bright as you may need for filming. Once the phone gets settled, the base is sturdy though. The flexibility of the neck leaves a little to be desired, but ultimately I made it work well enough.
