Sehr schöne Graphic novel
Tolle Zeichnungen und Colorationen. Die Subtexte sind sehr gut gewählt.Ich habe auch eine andere Ausgabe aus den USA mit für meinen Geschmack weniger schönen Zeichnungen (Art by Mel Rubi).Mit diesem bin ich sehr zufrieden, bisher habe ich von der Adaption by Daniel Abraham, Art by Tommy Patterson Volume 1-3.

Continuing An Excellent Adaptation
This is the second of a series of four graphic novels that adapts George R. R. Martin's novel of the same name. The first season of the HBO series was adapted from the same novel, but seasons 2 through 5 are adaptations of later novels in the series. (A Game of Thrones is the title of Martin's first novel, not the later books in the series.) So, If you're looking to compare this volume to the TV series, it corresponds to the second quarter of season 1. It starts just as Tyrion is beginning to leave the wall and ends with Jaime attacking Ned Stark in the streets. The illustrations are beautiful and the book does a good job of telling George Martin's original story. And, although I have both seen the TV series and read the original novel (and love both), this book manages to be engaging and unique in its own right. This is a new adaptation of the novel and it stays closer to the source material than the HBO series. Character designs are closer to their descriptions in the book and dialog is lifted directly from the novel more often. You do occasionally get more detail (or at least DIFFERENT details) in this adaptation of Martin's extremely complex novels than you do in the TV series. So, it does complement the show nicely. However, it's still pretty close to being a version the TV series in comic book form. Season 1 of the series was itself relatively faithful to the book. So, the graphic novel is not all that different. I'm hoping the creators of the graphic novels make it all the way to adapting Martin's fourth novel, where the TV series began to depart significantly from the books it's based on. It would be nice to see Martin's original ideas in graphic form.Additionally, each volume of the graphic novel has some very nice material at the end concerning the making of this particular adaptation. It's good extra reading and nice to see the creator's insights on how they adapted this epic novel. Finally, like the TV series, this is definitely NOT for children. The levels of sexuality and violence depicted here are comparable to the HBO series. If you wouldn't want your kids watching the TV show, you wouldn't want them reading this.

... the series I have bought and it's just as good as volume one
This is the second one of the series I have bought and it's just as good as volume one! Love the drawings and the text...awesome graphic novel... I also like the extras they put in describing the work and effort that goes in to making the books.

Great second installment
I own the first volume and this is much in the same vein, they are a fantastic version of the A Song of Ice and Fire Series and I highly recommend them to anyone who is a fan of either the books or the TV series.
